Awww man, I just thought it was because I live on the surface of the fucking sun (or so it seems sometimes, esp today. 116F). I guess it might be the dope too.

Face and neck generally drench - comes and goes with no predictable antecedent. Like moving around or even just thinking hard.
Then again I get chills too.
I think mine is an inner thermal regulation malfunction amped up with opiates.

I don't sweat all that much, but damn do I get hot!! I find it's usually when I start coming down that I start getting hot. I just hate that because the people that don't know about my "hobby" just laugh at me and tell me I'm having hot flashes!

Yep, me, too - I get the "Opiate Sweats." The only time I really notice, thank goodness, is when I get up and take my middle-of-the-night pill dose (woowoo, you're really right on with your comments about using in the middle of the night. I haven't had 8 straight hours of sleep since 2004).

I set my internal clock to wake up in the middle of the night, I get up and use the bathroom and take my next dose. By that point, I'm feeling cold, clammy and with very slight w/ds setting in.... but then I'll wake up 2-3 hours later and am covered in sweat from when the opiates kicked in. I'll be sweating everywhere, but the back of my neck is worst... I always assumed it was because I have long, heavy hair... kinda like having a cat draped around my neck. Sounds like it might be the opiates, too.

Personally, I'd rather win a wet t-shirt contest from sweating than go into w/ds.

Too funny...Im the same way but only with Oxy. A friend of mine knew I was taking percs and noticed I really was sweating like crazy so he coined the term "Percosweats" lol

I've never had a huge problem with sweating while using. I have noticed though, since starting on Suboxone maintenance on Monday, that about fifteen minutes after my dose, I get a really hypoglycaemic feel. You know, dizzy, pale, really clammy sort of thing. The clammy sweats last about an hour, and then go away again. I notice it every morning after dosing as I'm walking into town from the clinic.
