IV hydrocodone

Has anybody ever experimented with this? I never seem to see/hear anything about it, you'd figure by now someone would have to had shot it by now? just like a cold water extraction, the ace would be left in the water. I'm no fan of hydrocodone or care to use it, I'm just curious if anybody has ever done this, what were the results like?

BAD IDEA if you ask me...

IV hydro I believe, like codeine, can trigger a severe histaminic reaction causing death.

Plus the fact that most hydrocodone containing pills have very little active ingredient; yet a large pill - meaning there is a large amount of insoluble binders and fillers in there that will go into your blood. It's impossible to filter the small particles out, and you have a good chance of all those terrible IV related illnesses/side effects.

I'm not generally speaking as in shooting up a lot of pills, which you would have to do unless you cwe'd and evaporated then shot it that way. I've just been wondering recently why I hear of no one ever doing it, I mean I've seen/heard of people shooting crazy stuff, klonopin, xanax, suboxone. so I figured why not ask opiophile

Codeine or Hydrocodone given IV can cause pulmonary edema and many other negative side effects from histamine release.

Codeine can be given IM (as Howard Hughs did to himself).

If you google this, you should see many warnings about IV use of such drugs.

from what i understand its just too difficult to breakdown and the risks far out weigh the reward,plus i think the way they are made eating them is more beneficial than most other meds,u could plug them .......thats going to get the most out of the pill without being life threatening ......................unless your poop shoot is alergic to hydro's!!!!!!!

As devil's advocate, I was just reading about a (human) clinical trial from a few years ago which involved IV hydrocodone... however, only 5mg was used and resuscitative equipment was available.

In any case, that's very different than banging Vicodin/Norco/whatever. Really bad idea.

If I remember correctly, there was somebody on BlueLight who CWE'd some vicodin, then shot it. Just to prove it COULD be done, but it isn't very wise. And if I remember correctly again, he said it wasn't even worth it. Lol. But yeah, just search over there, I'm sure you'll find it.

...But, IV hydrocodone? Come on, man. Lol.

no offense to anyone, i'm just genuinely interested, but i'd like to see a source that says hydrocodone can cause pulmonary edema. i'm guessing some people just assume so because it ends in -codone and think it's like codeine when obviously that isn't always the case. i mean oxycodone also ends in -codone and people shoot that all the time. i think if you had a hydro-only preparation like hydrocontin it wouldn't be any more dangerous than IV'ing oxy (which is to say fairly dangerous, but still). but don't quote me on that, it's just a guess.

No one should experiment with this. Period (full-stop).

If you really have to, take diphenhydramine first (about an hour before trying to shoot), have someone with you to call an ambulance, or drive you to the hospital.

If you have access to epinephrine (like for bee sting allergies) have this available too.

All in all, easier & much safer to simply eat the damned pill. trying to extract 7.5mg or even 10mg of hydrocod. out of all of that APAP/Caffeine is not worth it. Although CWE for oral use is also a good idea, for safety.
