Actavis - Oxycodone Controlled-Release Tablets [New Generic Oxycontin]

It appears Actavis will now produce a generic Oxycontin for the original strengths of Oxycodone Controlled-Release Tablets 10mg, 20mg, 40mg, 80mg; which will be distributed via AB (AmerisourceBergen).

NDCs provided below. They are in quantities of 100.

There is an (*) that denotes a clause that AmerisourceBergen made mention of.

As such, I am unsure if this run will be similar to the Mallinckrodt generic Oxycontins that were briefly on the market 09/2008 ~ 03/2009; despite the announced projected availability from 09/2008 - 12/2009.

Clearly, the three newer Oxycontin strengths 15mg, 30mg, 60mg are on patent exclusive to Purdue Pharma.

like purdue just shipped them a bunch of oc's, and said "sell these, as generics".

Thats good to hear that they will be the same. Those real "waxy" generics that were around used to annoy me.
