I was never able to get an actual sub script filled because in my future line of work I will require a national security clearance and cannot have a Suboxone prescription come up when they run a background check. I finally got a hold of an 8mg orange hexagon which I believe to be Suboxone and I dissolved a little less then 4mg under my tongue at 1:30pm (My last DOC dose was 30mg oxycodone oral and 30mg railed at 5pm the day prior).

It's 3pm now and I feel absolutely phenomenal. I feel like I caught a buzz of of this sub. It could be that I'm sober without craving and that almost feels like a buzz after going on a 5 or 6 month daily use binge since my last break but I haven't felt this great since, well, last night at 5pm!

Is it possible to catch a buzz on 4mg Bup coming off of a 90mg/session oxy habit?

I plan on taking 2mg tomorrow, 1 mg Friday, 1mg Saturday. Then I'm gonna go at least through Christmas sober. Maybe I'll get myself a nice 80 for my own xmas present

I've been on bupe for over a year and I still enjoy it. Just be sure to space the doses out at least 24 hours (preferable more) Each dose will be like a breath of fresh air...

I've been taking it for 8 months and I still feel a little buzz from 2mg.
Granted it's only for about an hour.

my habbit was just a little bit more then yours and 8mg never did anything for me. i took sub's daily for a whole year. i quit for 2 weeks and started taking them again and wow, i nodded off. i dont understand it? i guess our bodies are just a weird thing.....i am going to make my own thread with more detail..

Heroin steals your soul from you, but at least it gives you quite a bit in return. It takes more than it gives, to be sure, but suboxone in the long-term gives NOTHING. No euphoria and hardly any relief.

You may say that at least it gives you stability -- I mean more: sub gives you nothing over being sober, whereas heroin does. Heroin gives you the best high in the world, even in the long run. Sub gives you nothing. Ugh, I feel so grimy WDing from sub.

Subs gives me a speedy type buzz. I get shit done, have a ton of energy...maybe even too hyper...but that's probably cuz i've got Adhd...

I can almost say i enjoy it. It has its up and downs. But it beats worrying about ur next fix...coppin' and the whole "game' ...and helps u get ur life back in order.

Beware of using it as a tool just to not get sick though...each time u swich back and forth it get harder and harder.. i used to read about it on here all the time. Then one time it happened and it was NOT pretty. And each switch over got worse and progressively worse. Now it takes days to stabilize now. Instead of the instant gratification that it used to provide.

Don't underestimate it...it IS powerful and will raise ur tolerance to insane levels.

Its a weird drug! Definiely affects everyone differently

I have had this EXACT same experience, but have not thought about this specifically -- I hadn't realized how, over time, it has gotten progressively SO much worse to switch from my DOC to sub -- it used to be easy, like the next day after using my DOC I could go back to sub and feel totally fine. Now, it takes at least 3 days to feel solid. I have to take my DOC on top of the sub for the first 3 days to transition back onto sub.

I hadn't realized how much worse it has gotten over time until you said this OxyQ. Thanks for the insight -- I am so, so ready to be off sub!

HELL no for me yet....im just trying to stabilize on the dam things and stop switching back and forth. No more chippin for OQ....i pay way too long and its way to intense for me to keep THAT up!

I wouldn't quite say that.

I'm WAAAY happier after being on subs than I was doing dope. Dope was great in the beginning and it still had it's fun times, but the bullshit associated with the ups and downs of addiction were too much. Subs help me get some stability, friends, and money back to my life.

Like others have said, don't use them too much. I used the to switch back and forth for months. I ended up with a huge tolerance and it got to a point that the subs do nothing for me now. I hate the things anymore.
Also, as Duck said, if you use them for a long time, they will suck the soul from you. I was on them for a while and I just basically existed and that was it. No joy. No motivation. No soul. I hated it!! Some people they are great for though!

Thanks for the replies, guys. I only plan on taking 1 8mg pill total. I did 4mg today, I'll do 2 mg tomorrow, 1mg the next day, then either 1mg following or two days of 0.5mg.

I may go back to my DOC for some of January but I'm gonna try to chip only; if I happen to get hooked again I'll do one more sub taper and quit for a couple months at this point. It's really chipping or nothing for me, because I can't afford my habit anymore.

If you look at my first post here it said I just got a credit card. 40 something posts in and I owe 600 bones already
