DId something stupid tonight

Ive read its very very hard to overdose on xanax the only symptoms I have is Im extremely cold

According to this chart (once posted here by Mollywhopped) 2 mg of xanax would equal 20 mgs of valium.. (times 20=400 mgs of valium! I wouldn't have woken up for sure, let alone be able to type this).
Anyone know if this chart is correct, more or less?

You'll be fine, worst that will happen is you'll pass out and fall asleep. The LD50 for benzos is so high that it would be virtually impossible to die from an OD of benzos alone. Throw opies/alcohol into the mix and the odds are not in your favour.

Ya Saint thats on the low end some charts put 2mg xanax anywhere between 20 - 40mg of valium. I have a huge benzo tolerance well 10mg valium tid also 2mg xanax tid along with
130mg. done - MMT. It is really tough to od on xanax alone normally you just fall asleep. Ive
read you can od on valium though. Not sure the diff. Good luck lar know you've had a tough coupla days, hang in there.

Morning Saint- interesting, since I posted that- I goggle a variety of equalize charts, seems like well 4 out of 10 agree with the cart Mollywhopped posted, the other 6 are giving -
.5mg Xanax = 10mg Valium

so IDK this could be anywhere from 400- 800mg doses according to the sourced charts,
It is just Valium that I am scripted for sleep/muscle spams issues so much more familiar with.
That is just a hell of a lot of benzo in my book, I try really hard to not pick a benzo habit.
skip night , rotated meds etc. and 10mg still after a few years gives me quality sleep.

I'm wondering if Medical community has an AGREED answer on = charts
or if the shorter term duration vs. long term duration of Valium is the issue for difference?

Wow dude, so you essentially took 20 bars? Man, I don't think I'd even be able to type with that much Xanax in me... I take 1 mg, and I'm pretty good. Anything more and I'm out cold.

Of course, if you've got a decent tolerance I can see how the worst you're feeling is cold... if you don't have a tolerance, then I truly hope you're alright. I say this because personally, I can take enough opiates to kill an elephant - and still want more, but a little too much Xanax in the system, and I'm blacking out and wondering wtf I did the night before.

Hope everything's ok with you, and whatever it is that made you do this/feel this way, please keep in mind that there are much better ways to solve your problems than hurting yourself (if that's what you were/are trying to do)... and they don't necessarily need to end in a trip to the ER, jail, or god forbid the morgue. Best wishes and please be careful in the future.

If he doesn't live with anyone, and they didn't take him to the hospital when they saw an unresponsive larry, then he'll probably be awhile before coming back/waking. When I was going through a rough spot a few years ago, in a few instances I ate whole bottles of 2mg xanax, and I'd always be out for a day or two. If not completely passed out-then completely out of it blackout fucked up.

Come back when you're ready and talk to us, larry. I hate seeing people suffer, and I just get a feeling of suffering from your posts as of late. If it's just the missing pills you had that other thread about, that's no reason to try anything like this. There are always options man. And there'll alays be someone on the net to talk with.....sad as I feel saying this, netfolks have helped me out of some tough jams before man-so if you need someone to talk to-just ask.

Damn man. I've had a couple experiences with benzos in ridiculous doses, and I generally ended up puking and feelin Terrible. Never took THAT much tho. It's worse with klonopins than Xanax tho, cause the kpins last so long. Last time this happened I took 10-12 mgs of kpin, and blacked out for two days then "greyed out" for another three, and lost my job somewhere in there. I have no tolerance cause I really dislike benzos and rarely take em. Problem is when I do take and the pills I took kick in, I go crazy and gobble my whole stash.
Bleh, give me opiates ANY day over that stuff. I'm positive that he'll be fine, unless he took something else with them. Careful Larry, this is no way to handle yer problems.
Time to grow up and learn how to handle this shit intelligently (harsh but true, unless you were actualy tryin to end it all, in which case getting some help goes a long way). Good luck.
