Hey All-
Quick question... I got my script today, and for whatever reason RiteAid gave me the Actavis 15's instead of the Mallies they've been using for over a year. Within an hour of (oral) dosing, I'm itching like I've been dipped in Itching Powder!!! Obviously a reaction- but why the hell would I be allergic to a "filler"? I get some minor itching every now and then with Hydro's, but never with my Oxy. I finally had to take 3 Benedryl just to get some relief! Anyone else ever had a problem with side effects from a "filler"? Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, between the Roxi, Benadryl, and the muscle relaxers I'm a bit loopy... thanks for any input you've got!

Maybe you are just really fucked up on your new script and are having a histamine response? Sounds like it to me

Opiates in general tend to make me itchy whenever I use a higher than normal dose. Never happens when I take a regular dose though.

My guess is that this is a GOOD thing!
With any luck it's just that these are much stronger than the mallincrap product. |

Yeah- thanks DB...
But--- trust me when I say I am FAR from "Really Fucked Up" on TWO 15's. My normal dose is up to 6 30's at a time, but I'm TRYING to get my tolerance back to a decent level. New Pain doc is insisting that 15 mgs. every 8 hours should be plenty. He's out of his damned mind, but since I don't have the cash or the connects to "supplement"' as much as I'd like, I decided to hell with this shit, I'll just taper 'till I can find a decent doc.I do have to say though... Pain doc is MORE than happy to load me up on any and all muscle relaxers he can think of. He wrote me for Soma, Fexeril and Skelaxin during the day, with 10 mgs of Valium added to the mix at night. WTF? Obviously, I'm NOT taking all of that shit! I'm happy with my Soma and my Roxi... if I could actually get enough Roxi to take care of the pain. Totally sucks that I take them now just to stay somewhat "well" and have completely given up on any kind of pain control. And for the record DB... I only took (1) 350 mg. Soma... when I can usually take up to 4 and still be completely sober. My tolerance to ALL meds is ridiculous! They gave me 12 mgs. of Morphine IV ( 2 shots of 6 mgs. over the course of 30 mins.) in the ER the other night, and I walked out and drove myself home. "AZ"- as above...this is MUCH lower than my regular dose. But thanks! "Hydro"- these don't seem to be any "stronger" than the Mallies... they don't do jack for the pain. But- at least I'm not sick. Thanks to you too!

I think it's funny people bash mallis and other companies. I have NEVER felt any difference between companies, the only brand I've noticed isn't as effective is the ethex brand of roxi. Those suck and they are as hard as rocks... Luckily I don't even get those Haha.

As diesel said, histamine response. Once you start itching, it's quite difficult to stop.

Maybe it's just the DRY AIR?
Winter is an itchy time for me. I'm particarly itchy right now, but haven't used anything out-of-the-ordinary. Possible? |

oxy always makes me itchy. and yeah like papa said it might seem worse than usual cause the heat is on or your skin is soap dry or something. I find if you take antihistimines before they work better than after. same for allergies too.
