Bingeing Blues - goddamn methylphenidate

Well im not the type to start a topic generally, But circumstances have led me to seek outside advice.

first off, a little background; My poison of choice is IV homebake, but that's been scarce of late due to an acetic anhydride shortage,

I used to add a ritalin or two to a cook to spice it up on occasion, as its plentiful and cheap (always safely filtered) and never considered them anything great. But since the shortage I've been using ritalin alone, to fill that void

Here's where I get problems:

Ive resisted the opiate monkey, yet somehow fall victim to endless fixing and dragon chasing with ritalin!
I can see how shitty it is, but cant really get out of the cycle.

One little taster of a new script before work turns into 10 shots, an allnighter and going til there's none left,

so after I developed a rit sweettooth, I visited a GP to reinstate my script of 60x 20mg a month, for about $3

Should I just can the script, lock the box and accept it's my kryptonite?

Need some opinions other then my families, my non-user friends or my own

haha, well, if you can just use only yer rx a month and not lose yer head, keep it.

its tough for me, cos it effects my personality and thoughts enough to make me one person high and another jonesing.


Ive damaged my arms more tonight then in a year of shooting.
my left and right elbow crooks are swollen, tracked and beginning to bruise.
I suspect the shits somehow leaking through holes when I blast, although I always get a redflag.

I quit but two days sober I reconsider
Im just not sure I can do without some form of IV gratification,

I'd say fuck it, lock it away. Those unintended all night binges can really screw up ones schedule on a weekday. Also I've heard that IV methylphenidate can have VERY serious cardiac consequences. I know that all stims do to some degree but for some reason methylphenidate has a much higher rate of cardiac arrest. However, I only know this because I heard it from a couple of non-proffesional resources a while back. I'm not sayin that I know this for sure, but if your gonna be doin it you should at least look into this issue...not worth dying for some IV Ritalin...
I'm an opiate addict more than a stimulant user, so I realize that stopping may be easier said than done, but just thought I'd put it out there.

I have a really hard time with the stimulant binge cycles.
Import is right--they really ruin your week when you allow their usage to destroy your natural circadian rythyms. My job is important to me and I already have immune issues as it is--so there's no room in my life for weekday binging.

I have a really difficulat time putting down ritalin (blow as well) I have issues with ADD and they really bring out my ability to focus, work, and feel alive. However, after that first pop I'm never able to sit back and enjoy the effects--I always want more, more, more.
If I was in your shoes I would not be able to sit on the script. BUt you should. IT will probably end up really wrecking havoc on your life.
I'm planning a little binge of my own tonite * mwaa haa haa!

I know exactly what you mean. I've been a junkie for years without it EVER affecting my job, friendships, etc..... but when I go on a ritalin binge all bets are off. I start missing work with no excuse or notice (and I've got a good job that I absolutely can't afford to lose). I go from a guy who has his shit together to the equivalent of a homeless crackhead in a matter of hours. This drug truly is my kryptonite. I have never seen a drug so capable of absolutely ruining me (and yes, I've had plenty of IV coke binges too).

I missed work yesterday, stayed up all night tonight (work in about 4 hours) and not to mention calling up and almost demanding rides to pickup etc.

Im coming down now so Im a bit level, But i'll have to have a bang for work

just wanted know if you gave up the script ? i snorted ritalin for over a year in heavy combination with opiates and damn, how many nights did i spend going through bottles NOT being able to stop - this is the worst stuff ever invented it's IMPOSSIBLE to stop for me. i used to call it my rat poison. it took me a very long time to recover after i stopped completly, like months feeling lousy, lifeless. still today i think it's a lot worst than, say, coca or speed for the "more again, again more" feeling.-
wish you courage to go through it as i know how it is every morning... no way to start moving without a first "punch".... and then.. off we go again

Me and a ladyfriend got the DEXmethylphenidate blues this past week. I recovered fairly quickly but she was an emotional wreck for 3 fucking days from this one night binge. We agreed soon after ' NO MORE FOCALIN' but just today she asked, "When's the Focalin lady get those again?" I'm predicting she gets cut off or something because my friend nearly drove me crazy with her needy, clingy, fiending i don't know the hell what other issues the focalin brought about.
