Question Is this oxy?

I was in Baltimore last weekend and came across some pills. They are round, small, and pink. One side is blank, and the other side has a line down the middle with K on one side and 56 on the other. I was told they were 10 mg IR oxy, but I was skeptical because I had never seen these before. They definitely had an effect, but I was just looking to confirm their contents. The pill id forum does not seem to get much traffic, so that is why I posted in here. If this is not acceptable please let me know.

I'll help you but it's VERY easy to just look up what pills are on rxlist.com, It's very simple to do pill ID searches on your own very fast without ever using a forum. Just so you know in the future you can figure this stuff out real quick without any help. I've been using that site forever & it rocks when your buying pills and your unsure, or you find a random pill & don't remember what he hell it is. Being a CP patient this happens to me a lot & this site has always been helpful

In about 45 seconds I found these and it says 10mg Oxycodone. Here's a relevant link to someone asking the same question who says 10mg's Oxycodone so I'm guessing what you bought is legit.

Thanks for the help. I found that same link you posted, but I was unable to find anything else. That's why I was asking. I tried putting it in rxlist and nothing comes up. There doesn't seem to be much info out there about this specific pill, with the exception of that one link.

Look deeper I found 6 websites backing up the info that it's Oxy 10mg plus you were told they were Ox 10mg's. That's good enough info for me to believe that's exactly what they are. Now move onto test number 2 that always works. Take a few of them and you should certainly know for sure if they are Oxy's after that. If not send them to me & i'll let you know if they are real after I'm done nodding out for awhile.

Much love my friend, Much love!

I would never tell someone to ingest pills, unless they were 100% sure that they knew what it was. It's kind of dumb to take pills that you just 'assume' are what the 'dealer' says they are. Before you take them, you should always ID them, just to be on the safe side. But, glad you got some oxy, and I'm glad nothin' bad happened.

/asshole rant.

Much love my friend, Much love!

not to be a dick and argue or anything bro, but just because someone tells you a pill is something it doesnt mean it is...i have seen people get sold quinine sulfate pills under the belief they were percs, allegra under the assumption they were oc40s, and a few more. and the reason i know this for a fact is cuz after the purchase the person who bought them always called me asking me to ID em for them cuz they know i used to deliver for a pharmacy and know thousands of imprints from having so many pills pass through my hands and if i didnt know off hand i would look em up and have the answer in 5 seconds....these werent the smartest people in the world when it came to computers so i would be getting calls & texts constantly from people asking me to ID a pill for them.

so to make a long story short, like i said just because you were told a certain pill is something, it doesnt mean that it is. you said that if someone told you than its good enough for you to believe that they are the real deal, for your sake i hope you dont because you might end up worse for ware....ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS LOOK UP A PILL THAT YOU AREN'T SURE OF, NO MATTER WHO GAVE IT TO YOU BE IT A DEALER OR YOU FUCKIN GRANDMOM!

uhh dude you are being a dick? he said "found 6 websites backing up the info that it's Oxy 10mg plus you were told they were Ox 10mg's. That's good enough info for me to believe that's exactly what they are."

He's not saying that someone told him thats what it is so thats what hes going on. he went online and found 6 websites iding the pill as oxy. and thats good enough for him. what more can you ask of someone? your only other options at this point are to call poison control, or a pharmacy to verify the pill (or get the dealer to show you the pill bottle and look to what imprint should be on them). and id say 99% of the people on this forum you included stop at an internet verification

you completely misread his post and your attacking him for no reason. he said the same thing you said man.

edit: also, the second half of his post was 'test number 2' which i read as after you've gone online and verified on 6 websites its oxy, the last and final step is to take them for 100% verification. not, well if you cant find them online just take them.

I think all of us should just take a chill pill and relax - meddle40, I hope you have enough for the whole class
But seriously, our friend meddle40 got his pills verified, he's happy, so there's no need to argue about anything. Can't we all just get along?

I would really recommend against using google to identify pills. However, you've been around here much longer then I, so your opinion carries more weight here, and rightfully so, but allow me to explain why I recommend not using google:

These websites like rxlist.com and drugs.com are run and used by people in the medical field, so for the most part, they are very reliable.

I don't know about rxlist.com, but drugs.com's pill identifier is very thorough. You enter the imprints, the color, and the shape, and it shows you pictures of 18 different pill shapes. Then when you search for the pill, it shows you actual photos of the pill which can be very important.

For instance, I recently received a pill, and the person I got it from was told that it was hydromorphone, and I wanted to verify that. So I put the information into drugs.com's pill identifier. One one side there was an M, and on the other side a 4, it was round, and it was white. It turns out that there was half a dozen different medications that were round, white, and had an M on one side and a 4 on the other. It was only with the help of the photos that I was able to determine that it was indeed oxycodone.

If you just searched on google, and came across a forum post or some other text-based question and answer, you might be misled as to what the actual drug is because there may be several different drugs that have the same imprint with the same color and shape.

Also, when searching on google you're getting results from all across the internet, the majority of which is composed by average people who are not professionals and have no credibility, so their answers really aren't trustworthy. Can you really accept the word of some random stranger on the internet that your pill is what he says it is?

Now in some rare cases your pill may not show up in one of these pill identifiers, such as with our friend meddle40's pill, so in that case, you may need to use google, however, for the reasons I've stated above, I think it's a bad idea to use google as your first source for identifying a pill.

That's just my opinion.

Your definitely right, googling can be less reliable then using one of those pill identifiers, but personally I've had a lot of trouble getting results from a lot of pills. I don't know if it's just touchy about the order you enter the pill imprint, or if it's case sensitive, or what the deal is, but half the time I can't get it to work. I know I'm not the only one because I post on other forums and there is CONSTANTLY people going "I need this pill IDed, I tried rxlist no results"

Now, most of the time when you google, you end up getting results from drugs.com, rxlist, and other such websites. Sometimes they are forums, but these forums are populated by medical professionals (and non-professional alike.) It's less reliable, but I'd say it's reliable enough.

If your given a pill that your told is a 10mg oxy, and you google it and see '10mg oxy' I'd say its safe to say thats what it is. If you have a completely unknown pill and your trying to find out what it is, I would definitely recommend using a pill identifer like rxlist. But if your told what the pill is and your just trying to verify, I think a forum is good enough.

also, I just hopped on rxlist because I didn't think that two pills can have the exact same imprint (M4, that defeats the purpose. It could be M4 on one side, or M on one side 4 on the other, but I think the whole point of the imprint system is to definitively ID pills, having different medicines with the same imprint defeats the system) but thats beside the point, my point is, I searched M 4 and m4 on the pill identifer, found a large list of medicines, but I didn't see hydromorphone 4mg listed on there at all.

edit: just went on drugs.com and I see what your talking about with the M4. the APAP/codeine pill has an M with a square around it on one side and a 4 on the other. I guess that isnt EXACTLY the same but damn if it's not fucking close. kinda defeats the purpose of the whole imprint system. off topic but still interesting and makes your case. Still, I think if you already have an idea what the drug is (if you just bought it, you should know what your buying) all your doing is verifying what it is.

another example, if I have no clue what the pill is, I'm going to go online and look it up. If I get an oxy and it's an imprint I've never seen before, I'd feel comfortable asking a friend if he's seen this imprint before and what mg it was.

I was about to correct you and say that there was more then just the Codeine and APAP pills, but I just double checked and that seemed to be the only one. I guess I was just remembering the multiple entries for that drug, but I could have sworn that there was others, one I remember vividly as having a cursive-like M. Maybe with such a large database these Pill Identifiers experience frequent glitches and are temporarily unable to recall certain pills at times; that could explain why you so often have been unable to find certain pills, and have seen others experience the same thing.

Google with common sense works fine for PILL ID.
IF a memeber finds it extremely important for the board to take the time to ID a specific pill, THAT memeber should take the time to photo both sides of pill and include in posting thread.

Hell - several people here a walking PDRs and can ID pills on visual sight. Descriptions of pills are harder.
