I love watching that show. All the really old metal and steel needles. That shit had to leave some horrible track marks. They show all these pictures of big poppy fields, it's awesome but when your out of shit it just makes you fiend horribly. But interesting none the less. I was born in the wrong era. Wish I could order morphine and needles out of a fucking Sears catalog.

You got it "Hooked: Illegal drugs and how they got that way."

There's another one that was on a couple months ago that was basically about the Wild West and the drugs they used.
There was a part were they talked about how families would keep opium smokers, not people, but alcohol fueled burners that were essentially like one of those candles that you put a flame under the wax and it melts in a bowl on top of the flame. Only these were opium smokers(as I already said) and housewives and such would let these burn all day to keep the families spirits up. Little did they know that their newborn babies were becoming addicts too.
Anyway it was a good show.

I don't recall them saying that, but they do make a number of mistakes throughout that series. Some friends and I watched a few eps in a row, and could have made a drinking game out of it.

1 beer everytime you or a friend says "WHAT?!?!"
1 shot everytime someone yells "Bullshit!!!"

All in all, pretty good though.

And yes I went over the part where they say [ and a german chemist Isolates a even more powerful Alkaloid from Opium and the music gets real ominous and scary ------- HeRoIn!!!!!! Dont they fact check this Shite !
