Default Re: Lormetazepam?

Never had it, but I've heard it's really good. It's a powerful hypnotic benzo.

It's N-methylated lorazepam. Methylation at that position makes the amide group (amine next to a carbonyl) tertiary. Having a tertiary amide usually makes your benzo more euphoric and hypnotic/sedative in nature. Lormetazepam is one of these benzos.

If you have some, you're lucky. It's not in the pharmacoepia in the US and it's rare to find it in IOP stores...

Here's the Wiki link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lormetazepam

Interestingly the article states that Lormetazepam is not approved for sale in the United States or Canada, however according to the site it is a Schedule IV drug in the US. Sounds like an interesting one.

Quoting from the same page, though, is this scary little tidbit of information :

Withdrawal symptoms typically subside after 4-8 weeks but in approximately 10-15% of individuals symptoms can persist for many months and in rare cases years.

Its more body feeling, more hypnotic than ativan. A powerful downer, specially if your not a costumed to benzos.

i have tried it a couple of times. its actually pretty common here.
has great sedating/hypnotic effects and although its a benzo i find it quite
euphoric.

you could compare it to flunitrazepam (aka rohypnol)

I actually have, and it's pretty good! I prefer the mellowing effect Nitrazepam has on me, but Lormetazepam isn't bad at all.
I'll try it when I'm not on opies, to explore any euphoric effects!

BTW: This is weird, but is anybody interested in, or collects obscure benzos? Stuff like Lormetazepam and Nimetazepam, or wow, check out this one! Camazepam... Looks pretty interesting, gotta love the brand-name... "LIMPidon"

I dont find benzos euphoric without opiates, used to find them euphoric in the begining but those days are long gone, and they werent very good at all...
They are more fun when used with opiates and stimulants at the same time.

Its not much different temazepam. Iv had it on rx. Theres always a reason a med is not widely prescribed, but its not always because it has recreational or dangerous qualities, sometimes its just no different to existing meds.

I have never found one benzo euphoric by itself, but I do get a nice little buzz if you could call it that when I take a few Nuerontin with them.

I am not suggesting that anyone try this: It's what works for me!
