Cheratussin AC - seperation - tip form a DARE Cop

OK, so SWIM got a bottle of Cheratussin AC
Ingrediants:
100 mg guaifenesin and 10 mg codeine phosphate per 5 mL
3.5% alcohol
118 mL of solution total

What SWIM wants to do is seperate the codeine and the guaifenesin for obvious reasons.

SWIM somehow remembers a DARE officer talking about just how to do this in DARE class ages ago.

The officer said that people would tie the bottle to an end of a rope, and spin it around for a centrifuge like effect. to seperate the two guaifenesin and codeine into two separate layers.

Now, he didn't mention any specifics of course. However, I wonder how long it would take of the swinging for the two ingredients of interest to seperate into pure guaif and codeine.

SWIM would also need to know how to then extract just the codeine from that seperated concoction. Maybe a pipette? Also it would be necessary to know if the codeine would be on top or underneath.

Sounds very possible to me.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Any one do this before?

Or perhaps the DARE Officer was just making up a BS story...although the thought of a Opiophile swinging a bottle of Robotussin-AC around on a rope is pretty damn funny.

at 2 mg codiene per milliliter, shouldn't a person who has a low enough tolerance to get high off of codiene without excessive histamine reaction be fine drinking the syrup as is?
codiene is only taken orally anyway.
i've never used codiene before so i'm sorry if i'm off base, but this is just my thoughts based on what i've learned so far.

I know you can do that to separate the dextromethorphan when its combined with other ingredients in robotussin (why you wouldnt just buy the pure dxm is beyonds me). I don't know if it will work for codeine however. I bet someone like AO knows more about this.

Centrifuge would be a great way of separating kaolin and morphine solution, but guaifenesin and codeine, I don't think so. But I've never seen a bottle of codeine, so I couldn't say for certain, but if the solution contains water, alcohol and codeine as the codeine is soluble in the water and alcohol, it will always stay in the solution.

If you can separate out the guaifenesin, really depends on if the guaifenesin is a undissolved powder or not. So look at the solution, does it look clear or cloudy? If it's clear, then there is no simple way to separate out the guaifenesin. If it's cloudy, and the cloudiness is from undissolved guaifenesin powder, then yes, centrifuging will separate them out. But I really doubt it, I reckon the DARE officer was thinking of a story he got told about Kaolin and Morphine.

That bottle contains 236 mg codeine phosphate, so that would make 2 mild doses for me. 150 mg codeine would be a much stronger dose, but I don't know if how taking that much guaifenesin is likely to make you feel.

I think it would be a good idea to videotape this, put it on youtube and post the link immediately for further evaluation. Videotape someone who isn't you just to be on the safe side.

Haha, yah the ideas seemed silly and I was mostly interested because I somehow remember hearing it from a DARE cop. Codein to get high....would need a lot, lol.
