Got your attention huh?

So, I did a CWE on a bunch of 8mg ASA/Codeine tablets. I mixed with OJ and drank away. I went to bed shortly afterwards, with a nice buzz. About 15 minutes into nodding off, I ended up waking up with my stomach hurting so bad I thought the shit was trying to burn its way OUT of my stomach. I fought the urge to vomit for the next 2 hours. It was awful.

So, do I have any options? IV is a no-no for me (for many reasons). I am a diabetic so I can definitely do SubQ, but is that an option? Or would up the butt be best? I've never tried it but *may* be willing to, if convinced, lol.

I get a script of 30-36 percs every 2-3 weeks. It's no longer enough. If I could get some other stuff, I wouldn't be posting this...

Honestly, codeine pretty much sucks IMO. I'm sorry to hear you're stuck resorting to that - is there anyway you can subtly discuss upping your dose with the doctor?

I get the same effects from codeine...it usually gives me a stomach ache. Please DO NOT SC the codeine. That is just asking for an abcess...pills are not meant to be injected in the first place, but especially SC. It will bring your more problems than it's worth, trust me.

Have you considered plugging? If those pills are what you're stuck with, this could be a decent alternative. There's many threads advising how to do it - check 'em out if you're comfortable considering that ROA.

Don't worry about people giving you a hard time...

What I thought was: codeine needs the first pass through the liver to be metabolized to active stuff (mostly morphine). That's why it's not any good (never mind how it's bad) to SC, IV, or snort it. However, if you google "codeine rectal" you'll find stuff that says codeine is given rectally. So may as well give it a try.

That said, I'd try taking it orally a few more times before you decide you can't deal with it. Have some food in your stomach and take an antihistamine for the nausea... Oh! Is it possible your stomach was irritated because of whatever aspirin was remaining after the CWE? If you're not taking too many too often, or just for comparison's sake, you could try ones with APAP instead.

because wide open thinks they are cool..... Kidding , my mac has a keyboard malfunction, the rs and fs dont work, I have to copy and paste them into the text, usually the letters I copy are capitalized... If in using my ipod touch ( like now) then youll notice that my posts are all lower case

Whatever you do just don't IV the damn codeine.

Apart from feeling like you're dying, you might actually well - die. Codeine is not meant for IV.
SC will work just make sure you filter it out well to avoid abscesses.
If oral codeine can still make you nod out you're probably better off staying away from needles altogether - it is good and at the same time quite washed-up piece of advise around here.

Never heard of anyone plugging codeine, but i'm sure it will work good and probably a lot more efficiently.
