Are you guys saying there's a generic now? My son is on the 20mg Focalin XR capsules and the shit is $400ish a month. I had asked about a generic a couple months back and was told there wasn't one.

I didn't know there was an instant release Focalin like DharmaBum mentioned - I thought by definition, it was extended release. Hmm... Or are you just saying there's an instant release dexmethylphenidate?

It is Instant Release 5 mg. tablet in the OP. (I get 20 mg. ER capsules plus the 5 mg. IR). I do NOT think there is a generic -- but not sure.

My super duper insurance comes to an end in 2009, so I guess I will be learning a lot about generics.
