So last week I went to this doctor who I heard was a "good" doc
Told him i had a protruded disc and that it hurt pretty bad---He never took my blood pressure or touched my back--a few questions and asked what helped I said "percocet" HE ASKED--"10 mgs?"
I said please---he wrote a script for 80-10/650---
SO THEN!!!!
I went back this week because I was almost out(you know how we do)---He gave me 120 10/325 percocets and 30 valium--told me to come back and see him ANYTIME---crazy huh?
The dudes a quack and I love it!!!!!

Yup. Every once in a while out of the blue u hit an amazing good doc, and it's like Christmas, if Christmas didn't suck. I remember once in Ohio, I'm seeing a doc about nothing, mention I had some pain, he says have u ever tried dilauudid. I was knocked off my chair. At the drugstore I made a photocopy of the script and sent it to my old lady who was locked up, then smuggled her in some. Good docs are rare.

DAMN!!!! That sounds amazing!!!---I asked about Morphine this time -said i want something that lasts longer and has no APAP and he said next time he will prescribe it if i dont feel better--well I know I wont feel better-

cdorr - I'd watch what I said about APAP. Even though your doc seems pretty cool it sounds like something a junkie might say. Like, "I wanna take more pills but I'm afraid of fuckin up my liver man!" Though maybe your doc is just looking to get you high, if that's the case, more power to ya!

something like that anyway. on a completely unrelated note, I have discovered that taking my little 15mg ms contins and 60mg of percocet a day, and I feel NO pain. I'm not slobbering high or anything, but I feel good enough to actually wanna do stuff. Amazing, I am, for the first time that I can remember, taking my pills as written and enjoying it. I know I know, that won't last either. I shot a couple of them last night, but wasn't really impressed. I felt it, but I guess I was expecting something different, more like a dilaudid (how can you not love those?)

So for the time being, I will take them as written and enjoy it, till my body gets used to it, and tolerance rears its ugly head. Until then, I shall hope and mumble a prayer to the junky god that these last all month. Might be easier if every single person I know has some mysterious pain whenever I get a script. The junky in me has taken to answering those pathetic attemps with a "fuck off, go get your own. I NEED what I have with a need that you will never understand."

And that is not even taking into account the pain (the meds as written kill the pain quite nicely for now). That's just self preservation, right? Gotta look out for number one and all. Also have taken to sleeping with my pills in my pocket. That's not unusual, is it?

oh and 75 mg of oxycodone would make me not feel any pain either. that's a good sized dose. have you noticed the way tolerance builds with that stuff?

Took me about 90doses/90days to notice it, but hell yeah it builds !

I used to have a crazy doc like that... When he asked what I was previously taking I told him 7.5mg hydrocodone. He said will 10mg be better? Well but of course, and I don't like the apap. Ok, 10/325s. When I wanted to get percocets instead he said lets skip all the going up little bits at a time and do it right. - no shit - Then wrote me 60mg avinzas and continued my 90 norcos + somas. When they stopped me up too much, he jumped over to 120mg CR oxycodone a day. :bowdown:

Nick, am I right in saying that there's no such thing as oxycodone in the UK. I've certainly never come across it nor even heard mention of it.

In the same way that hydrocodone definitely doesn't exist over here.

What I'd give to taste some oxy...

I had a wonderful doc like years for years and of course he moved and left behind this newbie resident doc, who made me take a urine test and said I was taking over my limit so I could no longer be a patient there!!!! I wanted to strangle her. Anyhow, none left around here for good docs.
And DOC, no oxys. Oh, my goodness you poor thing.!!! Nothing better!

My doc had me taking vicodin es 7.5 4 times a day with xanax 1mg 3 times a day for my chronic pain of my collapsed hips (in need of bilateral total hip replacements). told my doc that the vic's were not working for me anymore. Doc prescribed me 60 mg ms contins twice a day plus the 120 vicodins for the break through pain. Still got my refills for 90 xanax. I want to know will ms contins work better for my pain?

depends on dose, but USUALLY oxys...ms contins is just morphine (or a close direvitive) oxys are oxycodone and no "tylonal"...

mscontins will prob work better for pain for sure but as far as euphoria or getting high off of them they're not as good because oral morphine really doesn't produce to much euphoria or bioavability (sp?) and if you're hardcore you'll plug them for that purpose.


Oh by plug them I mean put into a dish crushed and shot up the ass with a needle less syringe long story but way better effectiveness
