AMC canceled a third season of the Killing?

Has anyone else seen this, or are you all as taken by suprise as me? I JUST got into this series in the last few months, and watched both seasons in like a week. NOW that i finally have another, good, well acted AND Written show, they go and pull some shit like this. AMC is fucking up IMO here. Yea, ppl where pissed you didnt find out who killed rosie after s1. But I like that and found that they were able to keep me interested throughout regardless. I was just going to check out the S1 and S2 of the danish version, but am pissed its not surviving over here.

Well, I hadn't really heard much about a third season, but it did seem like they--finally--wrapped this season up...and like I'd mentioned, I went and got the original version on torrents, with subtitles, and liked that one actually better, but this one was good too...I didn't know they'd even been planning a 3rd actually...but if it was bringing in money, I"m sure they could come up with another crime to investigate...but I don't know, the girl was leaving, and it just seemed kind of 'final' when it ended...

They left it open ended. Det lind walked away, but kinda left it open to come back. There was supposed to be a season 3 which started a new case, kinda like the killing 2 did in da nederlands. Ratings dropped off too far in s2 though. I read that tehy are shopping it to other networks, and that it might get done in a "reboot" scenario, which means it will be a totally original script and not based off the danish version as this was. Im into like ep5 of forbrydalsen, and so far at least, i like the american version better. It might just be bc i keep having to rewind from missing the subs, but im gonna see it through as its still good. Im glad that its not the same killer at all, or i wouldve just watched the killing 2. Also, i really like the american actors better. ALl i read was how much better the danish female lead was, but I thought our lead plays a much darker, edgier, moodier det. Plus, im a big new joel kinniman fan and like him much better as the partner. Either way, I hope this show lands somewhere as we can neverf have too many quality shows. At least Sons of anarchy and dexter come back on soon.
