This happened to a close friend of mine, he just told me about it in detail. It's just too bad he was smoking weed with some friends when ARMED ROBBERS STORMED THEIR FUCKING HOUSE. FUCK America sometimes, you know?

CORPUS CHRISTI - One minute three friends were enjoying their evening at a house on the 15th street off of Ayers, the next minute they were running for their lives when their home was invaded by two masked men.

Bars on the windows and a security system could not keep the house on the 1600 block of 15th street safe late Tuesday night.


Three friends were sitting at home watching a movie, and according to police smoking marijuana at around 11:30pm.


They heard two men yell, "give me your money", and then the sound of a pistol being cocked. Their first thought was to run.


The armed men came inside through an unlocked back door and demanded money.
Thankfully, everyone inside the home at the time was able to escape through the front door. As soon as they got outside they called police on a cell phone.


One of the men inside the house at the time did not want to be identified, but told us, "For someone to come into our neighborhood like that. I am not saying I have it in for anybody because I wouldn't be able to pull them out of a line up at all. But what goes around comes around."


Even though it seems the masked men only got away with a cell phone, he believes his friend was targeted.


The homeowner's friend feels he may have been followed home after withdrawing $400 from an ATM at a nearby Walgreens.


The neighbor says, "When I got home he was leaving. I said, 'where are you going?' He said, 'I got to go to the ATM machine.' I said, 'okay, be careful'. And that's what I meant by be careful. Pay attention to what is going on around you."


Police seized the marijuana and say the victims of the home invasion will be charged with possession of marijuana.



The men involved are just happy they are all alive. The neighbor tells us, "Always be aware of what is going on around you and lock your doors. Lock your doors if you are going into the store, going into your house. Lock every door behind you because you never know what is going to happen."

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned Black male, 5'6" to 5'7" and weighing 140 to 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a wool cap and armed with a handgun.

That would ruin anyone's night for sure. And then they had their bud taken away from them by the people that were supposed to be there to help them. Geez, what a bunch of bull. And the guys that attempted to rob them, how fucked up do you have to be to break into an occupied dwelling with firearms like that. Damn sociopaths or something.

How terrifying to been involved in a home invasion robbery and then to have to deal worry about now dealing with possession.

This kinda shit irritates me and I am a major proponent for legalization of Marijuana. I guess the police have to do their jobs, but sometimes, IMO, something like this can be overlooked. They were just hanging out catching a buzz. Not selling weed and were like some big time operation in the neighborhood.

Better make sure your doors are all locked before you settle down for the night with your bong and a good movie. You never know, you will not only become a victim, but could face criminal charges yourself for just wanting to relax.

Home Invasions on the daily been jumping off in Philly...This one's recent, guns, 100k cash, 1700 unidentified rx pills- the parents gonna get charged on that shit & just had their kids killed... I guess the home invader missed the big(ger) score and now I bet that the parents wishing the kids just 'gave it up' to the robber- kids might be alive(kinda doubt it- filthy is ignorant like that)... I mean a 17yr old with 100k+ & the loot in the parents room, so I'm sure they knew kids were making sales... Just has to suck to be them...

I think the home invasions are the 'new big thing'- just find someone doing illegal shit- rob em, yea, might get reported, but seems like a lot of its like a LE wet dream, they get a drug arrest & maybe a robber just cuz there's no honor among thieves anymore... As friends came to pay their respects for two teenage boys gunned down in their own home, neighbors tried to come to grips with the violence that just rocked their Overbrook Park community.

"You hear about it all over the city, all over everywhere, but not on our street. Not in our neighborhood," said neighbor Roberta Purcell.

Police now say 17-year-old Christopher Malcolm and his 13-year-old brother, Rohan "Sonny" Bennett, seen in photos from Twitter and Facebook, were shot to death during an argument over drugs. After the murders, police found over $100,000 in cash, 1,700 prescription pills and four guns inside.

"Sounds like a house that was selling a large amount of narcotics," said Narcotics Unit Capt. James Kelly. "They had a pretty good business going there."

Homicide Captain James Clark said, "we know the shooter is seen fleeing the property with a large bag. He fled the area."

The boys' parents are also being questioned because the drugs and money were found in their bedroom.

"I do believe mom and dad probably will both be arrested for the drugs," Clark added.

While police say this was the work of a lone gunman, sources say an increase in home invasions across the city may be related to drug gangs unable to get their hands on large supplies of narcotics, so they turn to home invasions to make a big score. On Wednesday morning, a 76-year-old woman on Large Street had her jewelry robbed in a home invasion.

"It's certainly something that is understandable if that is going on," said Commissioner Charles Ramsey. "I could see that playing out."

Ramsey says there's another tough lesson to be learned from this drug-related double murder: "You engage in that kind of behavior, bad things happen."

Sounds like the parents deserve to go to jail, at the very least. We had a home invasion more like the first OP ^ here last year, 3 guys held up a Catholic U. students' off campus house, 2 of them were killed by police and the students were busted for a couple lbs of weed. Seems like it's getting to be pretty stupid to deal drugs out of your house these days, for a number of reasons.
