Swim cannot pickup his rx until sunday (due to a state law in days between rx). Swim has one sub, so question is should he use sub for 2 days or just go with lope and save sub? Thoughts are appreciated..

Subs can be surprisingly effective at small doses. Not sure what size sub you have, but a crumb may be all you need to keep the WD's at bay.
thanks for the response, the sub swim has is a film that says 8mg/2mg...
What do you take day to day? And how many hours since ur last use?
It's up to you, just make sure the sub doesn't throw you into withdrawal.
today swim took on 30mg roxi and 1 40mg op...much less than normal but it is towards the end of the month and even having that left was a challenge. Last swim dosed was about 8:30 am. and swim would wait until tomorrow (maybe late tonight) before the sub was even a thought
With the extended release of the OP taking buprenorphine within the next 48 hours could possibly send you into PWD. Lope would probably be safer and you wouldn't have to worry about testing positive for subs at ur visit. If you're going to take the strip anyway take a very tiny sliver only when you're in medium to severe withdrawals, wait til ur nauseous, sweating, stomach cramps, sweats.
^Just my advice, not a medical professional, take with a grain of salt.
might be the way to go. Swim already went to dr today, just pharmacy bullshit that is holding the rx until sunday. As said this much lower than normal in dose. But swim cant afford to buy more esp knowing his are available sunday morning..
The subs will defintely work better than lope, it could keep the wd's completely away (possibly), but without knowing what ur daily use is like it might be using a hammer to swat a fly. Making the transition on and off suboxone can be tricky.
normal dose is 250-300 mg/day. Except past couple days when been running low and swim didnt want to show up sick at the dr...it would onyl be tomorrow and saturday. Swim will be at pharmacy when they open if not before, believe that.

That's a pretty high dose, my guess is the subs won't be too strong for you (some make the mistake of using suboxone before having any real habit and it can make you so high ull puke for days, ask me how I know. If you dose just start with a splinter sized sliver and again, wait to take it until your in real withdrawal.
thanks guys, wish swim luck for the next 2 days
8mg of Sub is more than enough to get u through 2 days, some of us on here could make 8mg last near a month.
Good luck. Two days is what appears to be in impossible feat when you're waiting for your check or your script or whatever other means of getting well one may have. As lawyerup said, making the transition onto Sub can be very tricky. Today was a Sub day for me and it was surprisingly easy compared to the last few times I had to make the jump, so it always depends on how much you've been using, at what intervals, and time elapsed since last dose. Not to mention even more personal factors like weight, metabolism, fatty tissue, etc.
If used correctly, one 8mg Suboxone pill can last me at least three days. And Sub seems to be less effective the more you use it, so if you have little to no experience with Suboxone or buprenorphine period, that 8mg strip should hold you fine until you get your script. Just as long as you don't fuck up and take it at the wrong time, you're golden!
just an update if anyone cares and if not at least it will eat a few minutes. so friday i was fine with a little sub when i woke up and another before bed. i say little because it is hard to tel with the film exactly how much. then saturday i woke up ok but about an hour later that ended and took more sub. held me all day. now i have about an hour until the pharmacy opens. been up for 2 already feel shitty but im so close. thanks for all your help. good day all opis...
Glad it held you most of the time. It sucks being sick hours before your score but at least you know it's coming, it's for sure, and it's not days to wait.
