Definitely gonna be a bittersweet season that's for sure...At least it's gonna be 16 episodes w/ a break in the middle. So kinda-almost-sorta as good as 2 last seasons...

I watched the first 3 episodes and for some reson had a hard time getting into after the first 2. I thought it was my kind of show , but it just never grew on me.

I'm the same way with The Walking Dead, I have tried to watch it since so many people seem to love it, but I just cant get into the whole "zombie thing" just not my cup of tea.

Now Vampire shows are one of my faves. I'm super excited True Blood started back up this past Sunday!

Walking dead is going to be fuckin awesome though. They've still got some juice left.

I think the writing and build-up has been perfect. Gus Fring was one of the best portrayals of a sociopath in film or t.v. Anybody think Walt will run the cartel now?? I can't wait for the last season. Walt has progresses from a mild mannered high school teacher into true badass territory. Remember now, SPOILER::he poisoned that kid to bring Jesse back to his side. His back was against the wall, and the kid didn't die, but still, it kind of makes you feel creepy rooting for the guy. What's next, he brings Walt, Jr. into the fold to cook for him?

I've heard that the DEA bro in law Hank finds out about Walt in mid-season.

Yeah, it is the final season but they are going to split the last season into two parts. I've also heard they are going to do a few mini-episodes too. Frankly I am surprised Hank hasn't caught on to Walt yet. He isn't stupid and he is probably going to figure it out in this final season. I wonder if Gus's crew is going to come after Walter or just make him the new boss or what.

For one, Mike must know that Walt is somehow involved with the death of Gus because Walt was asking him to give him a break and let him take Gus out. Do you think the cartel will be out of the pick or decide to seize the moment now that Gus is gone? There are just so many variables for this last season. Oh yeah, don't forget about Jessee's finger-print on that bullet casing that killed Gale Boetticher. I can't wait. It is going to be a great season hopefully. *Crosses fingers*

@Dr. McKay - I agree with you on The Walking Dead. They really have done an awful job at drawing out the second season and making it super boring. It was almost a chore to make myself watch the show. You've probably been told this before, but the comic is sooo much better than the TV show. I guess the writers didn't want it to be too much like the comic, but in my opinion that was a bad idea. Hopefully, hopefully, since they are going to get to the prison in the third season, the show will pick up and not be boring as shit. Read the comics if you have the chance. I promise you won't be disappointed.

He was blown up. IIRC tio the old Mexican cartel guy was in a room with Gus at the retirement home, he rang the little bell on his wheelchair as like a signal and then boom. It was fuckin stupid when they showed Gus' face like half blown off or w/e. looked fuckin cheesy.

@radioactive man--the last time we see Mike is in Mexico lying on a gurney with Jesse telling the doctors to treat him but that whole thing was left unresolved.

So it's anybody's guess who might take over. But there is a scene in the last episode when Gus talks to Hector and the camera makes a deliberate move to a photo of his nephew twins that tried to kill Hank. There is a guy in front of those twins just standing there looking menacing as hell. I mean why that shot? Oh, and what about Gus's Chilean roots. Surely he's got people down there he had ready for when he took over.

@Barth, how can you say this is cheesy. I think they're just kind of poking fun at the way Gus got away so many times, you're like, "AGAIN?" Or that's what I thought.

Yeah I was hoping they would get more into his past and what happened when he was in Chili. It might be a safe bet to say there are going to be some bad ass people coming up from south america to kick some ass.

It is pretty obvious that Gus is a pretty well connected guy. You have to be to rise to the top of a drug distributing network that runs all the shit in the south west. I have a feeling Hank is going to be the least of Walt's worries.

I guess they never did get back and let the audience know if Mike was going to make it or not. Either way Walt is going to have to pull some shit before he can consider himself and his family safe. He'll have his work cut out for him and Mr. Goodman will only be able to help so much.

Yeah, it was kinda cheesy but I still think it was an awesome scene. However they killed him had to be over the top. Kinda had a Fulci feel to the way they did the face.

I'm interested in seeing how Walt dies in the end. Going with the good guy always wins mentality I'm sure he will and it'd be really anticlimactic to have the cancer do him in. I also hope he starts using his product. Having Walt go into a paranoid psychosis would just be great. It'd also be good to see Hank get wise to him and have Walt dispose of him too. Whatever direction they go with it it's going to be action packed, I'm sure.

I would, for maximum effect. To see Walt's progression.

I second dharma bum's suggestion. While you might be able to piece together everything that is going on, you won't really be able to see how much Walt has changed. Plus if you download the seasons you don't have to sit through commercials and can get through the seasons quicker.

Me and the wife downloaded seasons 1-3 and we thoroughly enjoyed the show more watching it that way. Since we don't have anything but basic cable, when season 4 came out we had to wait an hour or so after each episode aired so we could download it. That routine became old real quick.

Goddamnit!!! I'm just finishing season 4 and made the mistake of reading some of the first few *spoiler* posts... oh well, I stopped very quickly. I am currently loving this show and watching it a few hours a day.

Last night they showed up to episode 5 I think. Just the first season where Jessie gets thrown out, and Mr. White finds out he can make lots of $ cooking.
I saw a bit of preview for the new season...looks quite good! Mr.White and Saul (attorney)-----Mr.White had Saul by the ears saying "It's just you and I now, what the hell are we going to do?" There are quite a few unfinished strings going on. What about the dude that was in Mexico when Gus was killed? The bald dude that is/was his guard? I like him, hope they don't kill him off.
Am thinking they haven't even quite finished the official ending yet. Saw some camera crews last week in the spot where 'Mr.White' lives. We had a LOT of trouble here in NM trying to keep funding for actors, directors, ect., going. But finally we pulled through. Most of it was because of Bryan Cranston doing fund raisers for our cities theatre community.
Again, sorry to the mods for not looking up the original thread. Last night I was in bad shape, but much better now.

Because I can't sleep, here is an update on BB: They are playing at least 2 episodes every night right now on AMC. Tonight was the one where Tuco tastes Mr.Whites cook right in front of him, and then beats the hell out of his buddy(anger management anyone?).
So, this is a great time for anyone that hasn't seen the very first few seasons to watch it, and get caught up in all the intricacies of the shows plot lines.
Oh, and I never new that Skyler's sister was a habitual shop-lifter! I thought she only started doing that after Hank got wheelchair bound. She seems bi-polar to me.
Anyway, just thought you all might like this info.
Onward I go....(reading other posts). =)

I think BreakingBad is one of the best shows ever not because it's about drugs but the writing is pretty good and the actors are awesome. I love the way the beginning scene is something that happens at the end and the rest of the show is building up to that point. I can't wait to see the aftermath of the season 4 finale.

Princess Kitty~ Totally agree with you and DAK! Now is the time to catch up on this masterfully crafted series. Frankly, the only one that compares to it in writing(IMHO) was 'Sopranos'.
Each character is well thought out and you will feel SOMETHING for or about them, and the situation(s) they get into.
Did anyone else think that the bald guy (Gus's hit man) was really handsome and charismatic? There is something about him that I find highly arousing---not in a sexual way, but more of a 'I really would like to get to know this person, and what makes him tick' way. Just seems incredibly intelligent, yet gentle and frightening at the same time.

'cept Walt's not really the good guy anymore. I love the idea's concerning ethics and choices we make especially under fire. Mike,the cleaner, used to be a good cop till he saw how futile it was. Walt thought he would be dead before he would have to pay for his actions till it all catches up with him. I thought they were gonna kill poor Walt Jr. everytime he walked outside. Jesus, I love this show on so many levels. I remember the old Breaking Bad thread but I wasn't a fan back then.
