DXM has been very effective for bupe tolerance

Just wanted to share this with you guys, most everyone on here knows about dxm and its abilities to reduce tolerance in full agonists. On subs its pretty useless as a recreational drug except in the higher 200mgs for me but i've manged it to the point that I can get high off my subutex again. I take about 60-120mgs most days (note: not safe to use daily even if they haven't proven brain damage in humans yet). Been taking it daily for over a month now and just recently cut back due to fogginess in my head during the day and some other side effects like twitching and excitability like with stimulants.

Usually take my dose 45min-1 hour before taking bupe. Also add an antihistamine and within an hour start to feel the familiar opiate high that's missing from my life now. I'd start with 60mg-75mg tops for first timers. Most people say 30-45mg but with bupe everything seems to take more for me to experience effects.

enjoy it while it lasts, potentiating your dose is just as slippery a slope as addiction to opiates itself(well, not quite)

Do you not get DXM hangovers from dosing at that level everyday? I hate the hangovers from that shit.

Sometimes I do, most of the time no. I do alot of physical labor at work so I kinda sweat it out alot faster. Fast metabolism as well.

similarly, I found Ketamine, which IMO is a superior drug to DXM (although hard to find these days with India's ban on OTC K), to be extremely helpful when I kicked bupe the first time.

Yeah I used DXM extensively when coming off of methadone + lope and 10-12mg of xanax a day. First 2 days where hell without the xanax and dxm. Didn't sleep at all for about 60 hours till I dosed some DXM and smoked a bowl of weed. Def binds to the mu receptors, but the binding value is super low so high doses are needed for wd relief.

Haha, I haven't posted in a GRIP but I'm back and this is amongst the first five threads under the new posts tab. What a warm welcome back

Yeah I totally agree that dxm can cut your bupe use in half, but I think that a big part of that is because you don't get the CNS warning signs of withdrawal as the dxm effectively suppresses that. I had the same experience with other substances before I started my maintenance thing about a year ago.

But what I will add is that I experienced some bad shit due to this kind of combination. I was taking dxm in combination with "other" opiate-related substances and then when I didn't have dxm, I'd need to take a larger dose just to feel normal. And I felt some WEIRD FUCKED UP things when I went cold turkey off of opiates+dxm after a year of taking both in combination ever day (somewhere in the neighborhood of 240 mgs morphine every day plus 720 mgs dxm per day). That was shitty.

In conclusion, dxm will make you feel like you don't need to take another dose and it will also make you feel like you're nodding out and getting well quicker than if you didn't have it in the equation. Kept in check it could be wisely utilized. But if you can't keep it in check you'll start to think about the subjective reality of existence and what your mortality means on a universal scale. And everyone will think you're a space case. omg lol
