I've taken off for periods of time, but I came back committed to staying. This site, since I signed up, has just been a really good part of my life, and when I'm gone, it's usually cuz I've gotten myself in some sort of dreary junky hole or another

But even then, from day one on here, I've always been so glad this site existed. It's a part of who I am. Even in my fucking will up there thumbtacked on the wall, case I o.d., I put the site address, and my username and password, so my brother can log in, get embarassed, ha ha...

But people have always sort of risen above themselves on here, sometimes to my utter amazement, to keep this site afloat. So many of us have volunteered our time to be mods and admins, and I've seen so much good compassion and funny stories, and hell, even some useful information, made real friends.

But they need money. They gotta pay for the servers, keep things going here...no matter how many people are willing to give time, we also need bucks, there is just no way around it.

I'm a stone junky, even when I'm clean--which I'm not, btw--which means my money is *always* earmarked, and I live on some tight little veteran's pension, now...but I managed to scrape a few bucks up to help this place keep on keeping on. I'm saying that not to sound wonderful, but so maybe you'll get motivated a bit...

Because I also found out, that lately, there haven't been many others helping. That's sad. We can do better. Chip in, help pay rent...'Somebody else' is you. I'll try to bug you'all again around the 1st...its not fair to expect the admins to come asking all the time...we should do this...it's our place, they shouldn't have to ask us to help.

ITS BEST IF IT A PERSONAL ADDY THAT A PERSON RECIEVING IT HAS A PERSONAL PAYAPL (and ebay account)

I think if person recieving money does NOT have a PAYHELL accunt- the money can be transfer to your bank account then.

Man, you'all make me proud. Most of us don't have much, I know that...like Brony said, if we could each just come up with a little each month, even 5-10 bucks, we could at least keep the servers covered. I know some of us get that little check on the 1st, and I've got all my calenders giving me shit that day...one says "Alright, asshole, you talk shit, but now, before you go to SilkRoad or 'down the block to see my friend' send the opi a little bit." So I'll do that, and then put a post on here, letting you'all know too. Christ I remember the days, and a lot of us do, when this site would go down for days, over a week sometimes...it was all fucked up...but anyway, I know paypal is easy, but once u set this up, it's no harder....way better than what we used to have to do, which was track down whatever hole had a mailing address, and hope that got there...but anyway, I feel we're getting it together, and thankyou, this place is so much to me, don't want it to flounder just for lack of a little bit from all of us....

Been a long time for me as well, CZ. The misses always gave me shit about it, and the last few years, I've just refrained, not wanting to deal with it. But, I guess that isn't much of an issue these days, so I will get off my ass too and get it done. Yeah, ship is running well and upkeep is just a practical reality.

Thanks so much guys. We aren't pros. Nobody really knows how to do this right, to ask people if they could donate, so often it gets put off until a lot is needed, and they have to make a big deal about it, or borrow money or shut down. So I'll try around the 1st to send a little, and ask anybody else who can, to help that way. Don't get pissed or hurt, those who can't or those who won't. We understand. We just have to find some way to get the message out once in a while, that we haven't any money, and live month to month. So me or somebody, if I'm not around, maybe on 1st will ring the bell. Asking for contributions is uncomfortable to say the least, but it really is needed and most definitely appreciated.

I think the issue stems with some of the coding google checkout uses.

If you are up to the task they have an app for the iphone/ipod/ipad that makes it possible. It can be found here.

Also, I have always avoid google like the plague, does anyone know if it can be done semi anon thru google. I got faith in JM and Brony, but not google. I always remember having much difficulty donating from Canada at the old site. Its great to see that it is not a prob anymore.

We gotta try to find a way to market to all the Hollywood moguls with dope habits. I bet we could all get rich. hehhe

Well I am not actually concerned about being totally anon. I just don’t want google to have home addy. Is that possible. I could care less if Brony or JM have it, just don’t want google to have it. I would also like to be able to use CC, not sure if that would reveal personal info to google or not.

Google is a really scary corp in my mind. You can’t even setup a youtube account with out google wanting your cell #. Also I am not sure if it pure B.S. But from what I have read, google has a very tight relationship with the NSA, CIA, DARPA and probably a shit load more alphabet soup. I also read a new google “Marketing” plan where they target there google sidebar ads by listening to your Household throw webcam/mic. There reason behind this is… Say they hear a Dog barking in the back ground. So then you will find targeted ads for dog food. I also believe this is also being done with Microsoft's kinect xbox product.

I hope I don’t sound paranoid, and it could all be myth. and NO I have not touch stims for probably 10 years.

I have never had any good reason to distrust google, and to be fair they have treated us TONS better then paypal.


That being said I understand privacy is important, especially with a website of this nature. You can actually use any address as long as the zip code matches that of your credit card address.

As I finished contributing I felt this incredible wave of serenity wash over me and I began to understand the mysteries of the universe, it was pretty cool. Yeah, I'm hoping me, or somebody, can remind people monthly, either bump this thread or start a new one...I tend to usually only respond when its emergency and site's going under, or be full of dope and guilty conscience coinciding w/money in the bank...but the servers have to be paid regardless of my 'state' so I'll try around first to thro a little the site's way, and ask others--who can--to do the same...I know these are just irritants to most, kind of like when public radio puts on a good show when they want money, but we don't want site to flounder, or to rest just on the shoulders of the few responsible members...so thanks to everybody who helped out, we have a constant need of good people willing to go thru this regularly so we don't come here and find just one of those obnoxious empty site holders...
