I just got my script to send in to patient assistance and luckily i called to see if they had the old kind or the new kind.. THEY ARE SENDING ALL OPANA SCRIPTS BACK TO THE PATIENT!! They have no idea when they will have more in..

I suspect that since Endo has now made a 3rd kind of opana, that they are waiting til they have enough to stock the pharmacies...

Here we are on the assistance program but cant get our meds.. WHy have a program if they cant fulfill it?

I just got 90 40mg Opana Ers about week ago and they were the original stop sign kind.
I am going to call tommorow and see what they are saying now.

I'm taking my very last stop sign style opana ER tomorrow morning. then Thursday morning - I'm picking up a full rx of the new bastards. Joy... sad thing is, all of this has fucked up the IR's too - since people can't get the IR's - they've sucked out the IR's in the distro chain as well.

I wish I could get levorphanol consistently then I wouldn't have to deal with this shit anymore.

I'll spend some time messing with the new ER's until I find an easier way to snort the oxyM. I'm thinking even pre-soak a few days at a time, then dose via spray bottle... we'll see.

I know they are NOT accepting any new patients till they are caught up with giving pre-existing patients their meds.

So what is this all about a THIRD formulation? I have seen no information about this. All I have heard of is that they had the stop signs and then the new kind. Havent heard of a second new kind. . . No press release or nada. Where did you get this info? Not on the opana/endo website whatsoever. huh

I wount see them making a new pill seeing that the TRF they just put out (circle shaped with E and mg on the other side) cost them a shit ton of money to license the new gel.

Maybe they are making a new one because of the bad response they got from the new TFRs. They are a publicly traded company so they need to make their money off their products or go belly up. Especially when they were doing well then flopped, lots of investors will be pissed especially with a HUGE company like Endo. Makes me wonder.

if you go to opana.com it shows right on the first page that pops up what the third formulation is. they look like smarties, literally. and it says they're the only ones being manufactured anymore.

I filled my rx for Opana 30mg ERs and got the Round E30s, didn't see the new ones until just now.

I also could not find single pharmacy that had my 10mg IRs in stock, but managed to get a pharm to fill it with the stopsign 10 ers

I thought that was interesting too that they had a third style opana TRF. What the fuck are those?? Luckily i filled my Er 20 and ir 10s today and got the old formula and did get my 10. Fuck this shit im switching to roxis next month. My long love affair with oxymorphone is now coming to an end... :-(

what I dont understand is that they couldnt get a machine up for almost 3 months to make Opana (the original formulation they had down pat and had been making for years now), now somehow they have pumped out 2 different shapes of tablets in the same week and distributed them with no problem. . . odd.

maybe it makes them more tamper proof, like harder to hold or something, very odd, also, maybe it looked too much like an OP40?

To the question if ive just been on the pap with endo ive been on the program for like 4 years or so. maybe longer, got them just fine when they had their issues but luckily i knew what was going to happen and went and paid cash at the pharmacy for the stop signs, so im still good on those.. im just hoping that i can find a pharmacy in about 2-3 weeks that will have the stop signs. i remember when they switched the oc, i found the good kind for about 5 months, just took a lot of work.. hell, ill drive 4 hours to a huge major city if i have to. THey say that they are still around, i just called a couple pharms today and they still had the stop signs.so cross my fingers for one more month.. at least im good for this month too, but i wont pay the pharmacy price for the new kind. ive heard that they are just a bitch, ill just switch to the ops or even the patch..

Also, i swear i read it in the white papers, but i couldnt find it again, they said that sometimes with the new formulation the doc might need to prescribe another opiate or even an over the counter pain med i guess they take longer to take effect.. but i know i read it once, i just cant find it again.. so, maybe we will be able to get some ir's with the new kind.. but I think its september when watson will make the generics and they are supposed to be the old school... so, im hoping this is just a temp pit stop. but, we will have to have insurance or pay cash,, the pap will most surely have the new kind only....

The problem is some docs might be glad that the new pills are tamper resistant and may not be inclined to write the script for the generics since they will have to give you at least double( if you are on the 30s) and even more if you are on the 40s.

I got lucky an got mine from Endos PAP about 2 weekas ago , but I wonder whats going to happen in 2 weeks ?
I really hope I can at least get the newer Opana becuase what the doc gave me as a substitute was horrible.

Yea, I thought about asking him to write it for 15mg and just give more, but i think that could cause an issue because he is writing more pills, even though its the same mg, the state looks at pill numbers, i dont think they look at what the mg is.. maybe im wrong, but i have thought about it and its a good idea. but, the bad side i would have to pay cash for them and they just bumped their price when Endo changed their formulation. pharmacy companies arent stupid, they know what what we want and why we want them, lol...(I consider most of them to be legal drug dealers, lol)

That brings up something very interesting...I wonder if taking a 15mg nasally compared to taking a 40mg orally would work better ?

I too get mine for Endos PAP so if I were to try to get the generics I would have to start forking over quite a bit of cash every month since I don't have insurance right now.
Also I noticed that the price of the generics went up to almost the same price as the brand name pills just as they started to change over to the TRF style pills.
The generic Er tabs are all made at the same exact plant .Weather it is from Endo or Activis its all made at the same plant.

The Ir tabs made by Roxanne though are made at a differnet plant, but they may also be made at the same plant as the Endo tabs because right now neither brand is being produced. On the FDA drug shortage website it lists basicly the same reason for both makers not being able to produce them. I am pretty sure it said something about not being able to get the raw ingredients neccessary to make them.

I think they did have a date of end of April for the Roxanne tabs and no date announced for the brand name tabs. I thought the reason why they were not able to make the Opana Er and Opana tabs was because the plant was shut down. So now that it is open why are they only making the TRF type Er tabs only ?

I personally think they are doing it on purpose becuase they know alot of people are going to try to get as many IR tabs as they can to avoid the TRF Er tabs.

I am definatly not looking forward to finding out if I am going to be able to get the regular 10mg Opana tabs this and the 40 mg Er tabs. I had to go 1 month wihout both, then I got a shipment of the old style 40s, now who knows what will happen this next order...
This is definatly a big mess that Endo has put us in and I seriously think it is not very kind of them to be playing with our health by putting us on Opana through hell these past few months.
I am now starting to have serious thoughts on just getting on methadone so I wont have to worry about getting sick and being on this roller coaster ride they have been putting us through!

all i saw is look what happened to OC (the king of pills one second) to OP (people avoiding like the plague, the next second) sucked. Seems to me like the market prefers specifics. We all know what we are getting every time. Never a bad batch or weak stuff. if the tablet is not the same or better than the original, i dont see many people wanting to switch to this TRF obviously.

And, so far, no one has really come anywhere close to defeating the time release (not to rush, dont want to see anyone hurt) but they put some time into this thing. Im surprised any "chemist with basic lab skills" has not come out and told everyone how to get around the OP goop yet. . . how long has that been? 6 months if not a year, they fell off a while ago. sad sad days ahead, at least your doctor is willing to write for some IRs as of now even, we will see what he can bump you up to possibly

Hey all...I am new member....got lucky and found the open reg. But I have been following this forum since back in Dec 2011 regarding the new formulation of opana. I was hoping someone would be able to tell us how to break thru this shit, but I have yet to see anything except the 24hr soak method. That being said, We tried the OP micro/freeze method and surprisingly...IT WORKED. I was so fuckn happy when I felt that opana start to kick in! But...theres got to be a better way, right?

This new opana when mirco/freezed goes up the nose just fine, but after sometime you begin to have a slight ooze coming out of your nose--and it is very sticky..but still fucked up! I was finally able to catch that nod Id been craving for so long!

I just got the new Er 40s today and all I can say is that they totally suck ass !
I took one about 2 hours ago and I felt a little tiny glow about to start and then it just faded away.
I kind of feel like I am about to go into withdrawal, but I am not actually getting sick.

Endo sure screwed up these pills. The old Ers when taken by mouth were definatly better than these.

hopefully they get so many complaints that they may change the formula again..
But I am sure that will never happen since they probally spent tons of money formulating these.

Before when I would take the ER 40s by mouth it would at least keep me out of pain (for the most part) and I never started to feel any sort of withdrawal.

So my opinion on these new tabs is they suck !

Fuck off Endo and your new shitty ass Opana ER tabs !
