Help Please!?!

As some of you may know I am currently on a DRR (Drug Rehabilitation Requirement) after being released from prison last year. This means I have to go and meet with a probation officer once a week, then after that head up to the needle exchange to have a urinalysis which gets recorded in my file. The method they use is a window test with a little tab that they dip in the piss, works kind of like a pregnancy test. Anyway, the problem I have is that once a month I am required to sit in front of a panel of judges and magistrates for a 'review'. This month I attended and had a judge dress me down telling me that he 'wont have me' taking ketamine on top of opiates and my scripted methadone and that if it continues he is going to recommend I finish my term in custody. The thing is I don't use K at all, I have done years ago but certainly not at all since then. I told this to the judge and he smugly told me that I dont know what I'm taking as the heroin could be cut with anything. I felt like asking him to explain why I am constantly testing positive for K even when I am negative for everything else (except 'done) but resisted the urge. I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure dealers don't cut H with K, why would they?! And Im also pretty sure I've read ketamine is pretty useless when smoked, which is my current ROA for the smack.
The people who do the testing have only just started testing for K, all the other windows are on 1 test kit, and the K one is a separate single window stick.
The reason Im asking for help is that im getting seriously frustrated with all this, the one thing the judges build their opinion on you is through the results of these drug tests and getting threatened with jail for something i haven't done is really pissing me off.
Ultimately the question I am asking is why am I testing pos for K week in week out. I dont use anything except H and methadone, very very occasionally crack too. If anyone could chime in with any ideas I would be really grateful. Thanks CB.

Wow that's a tough one.
My feeling is that there's something you're somehow ingesting that's causing a false positive for Ketamine. I need to research this some more because I want to know the answer for myself as well as for you.
Either that, or the test itself is fucked up.

I was in treatment a couple of years ago & they would test you with a five panel pot & while I was there a couple of us tested positive for PCP

Then a third kid tested positive for it so we checked it all out. The tests were made by Quantam Diagnostics & after a bit of research we found (on THEIR site) that ibuprofen & numerous other everyday chemicals can cause a false positive.

This was the only evidence the nurses would accept. Maybe you could do the same. Those tests ahould be sent for a gas chromatography/mass spectometry test if someone disputes the results. You should remind those doing your tests. It's the law when you're on a DRR.
Especially if they're threatening you with jail.

With both being dissociatives, maybe there's a link there. I don't know, but you can't tolerate those pricks accusing you of doing something you haven't.

Oh and just for the record, I've only heard of gear being cut with ketamine once, it was a dud batch during the drought, though all kinds of shit has been found in batches.

Um, as an avid fan of K, I can tell you that when combined with opiates
it has a VERY synergistic effect, and that it is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING
AWESOME when smoked.

All I can say is that your H is most likely cut with K
Which, atm, makes my mind cum at the possibility of the high

You need to have the test sent out to a lab. I can't believe they dont do that already. All parole/probation drug tests in this state are sent out to a lab for a real test.

No I can almost certainly say it isn't cut with K. No odd taste or high. Just plain old heroin. Also ive been testing POS for K when ive been NEG for everything else. Even for weeks at a time.

Lortab beat me to it! your are on a state Drug Rehab scheme that demands a weekly piss test that checks you're taking your methadone like a good boy, and doesn't care that you have Heroin inside you! What the hell kind of probation-related scheme is that??

Yeah theres not much they can do, they can threaten with jail, but it has to go to a board meeting which I only think happens if the offender stops taking their script and hammers the gear OR starts taking the piss and taking all sorts of other stuff. If you give a fair amount of both POS and NEG results then they cant really do much.

Piss tests are really unreliable & frankly to could be many things in your diet or a cut of some sort (a sub-active dose of K will still show up). If tell the probation dude that you really aren't using K & how does one get the positive checked? I think, in reality, it's an 'arylcyclohexamine' test and that moiety turns up in so many different drugs & even some foods ( a full list would be huge). Methoxetamine & such certainly give a positive. I've certainly seen examples of people giving positives after smoking hash that had likely been cut with such rubbish as well as benzos (one alproazolam metabolite gives a positive).

I know you cannot be found guilty of anything by piss-test alone. On the other hand, piss tests for methadone are handy if you are using Diconal - it covers it up TOTALLY.

Probation sucks. Being disabled has good points. I just got GP to write that some days I cannot walk (true) so they came to my home at first, then just rang up... then went back to court to have it dropped - costing them too much time & money ;-) 2 years in 11 weeks ;-)

OP- Demand to have your piss run through the gc/ms. It's reprehensible that they don't care enough about whether you're actually doing K or not to do this themselves. Not that it's surprising by any stretch of the imagination.
