cigarettes and dxm

back when i did alot of dxm cigarettes seemed to enhance the trip an insane amount, but some of my friends said it almost did the opposite for them. anyone know anything about the combined effects of nicotine + dxm or other dissassociatives?

though i am compelled to some on spaecman DXM trips,
i find the taste and act totally unappealing...

i go both ways regarding its interaction. sometimes it feels a must and sometimes it feels as its diminishing the high.

MJ on the other hand, is usually what i MUST HAVE to rocket myself into my robotWalks...
gives me my long arms are weird ultra saturated coloring as well...

Yeah same with me. Sometimes a menthol goes well with a second plateau venture.

Other times, when the nausea is more prevalent, its the last thing on my mind.

Dxm is weird for me i can never predict its effect at times 400 mg does nothing, And at times 300 is just so good.
I haven't tried it with mj but thanatos description sounds tempting .Will give it a try.

Myself and the 6-8 friends that I used to take DXM with regularly all agreed that smokes where a necessity, as in no smokes don't bother with the DXM. Not that it necessarily "enhanced" the experience but when your loosing it (in a very good way) smokes simply seemed to help keep a grasp so we could write and read as we went about our business. MJ on the other hand was almost as essential, not as much to increase effects but more of a synergy effect. Thans description is about right with the MJ.

and i work in a pharmacology lab that tests nicotine

the real mechanism of action is an acetylcholine and weak dopamine agonist
which could explain why it goes different ways at different doses of dxm
and with or without menthol

EDIT:
but i did just look and see that tobacco smoke includes harman,
which makes it seem confusing that people wouldnt find that making
it more intense regardless, like with pot.

DXM in particular has always made me loath smoking cigs, I still do but a lot less than usual.

The MAO inhibition from cigs is so minor that it probably wouldn't have any appreciable effect on this. Any interaction with DXM probably comes from the acetylchloline effects and catecholamine re-uptake inhibition.

In my experience it didnt have a negative or positive effect, but I did know people who it would decrease their trip. Smoking herb definitely sent me off way harder while tripping.

I drank a lot of cough syrup in my teenage years and regardless of the amount taken, weather 200mg or 800mg, smoking always seemed to drastically increase my high momentarily...but some trips were so confusing that it was hard to smoke, and the thought of doing so became mind-boggling at times. I've also lit many cigarettes filter-first whilst robo-tripping, nasty shit.
