How much, roughly, does your opiate habit cost you per day?

I was thinking about this. I'm just curious to see how HOOKED some people are out there.

My opiate habit costs me $1.50/day as I have a $45 copay for my subs. Well, that's how much I'm paying for my daily dosage although with low dosing I'm spending under a buck.

If I had to pay out of pocket... eh, my script would be going lower. I'd still get the 8 mg pills to break into 1-2 mg bits.

So, spill it... how much are you spending on your pills, smack, prescription copays or whatever it is you've had to come up to??? If it fluctuates (as in H/oxy users often do) what's your average spent in a day of typical using?

What was it at its highest amount you've spent when you've really been cooking for those mostly recreational users? Would you rather not think about it?

For me I think I was up to one finger (10 g) of uncut H lasting me four days. ~2.5g/day of raw's a lot! Those were bad times. Yes, in most of 2008 I did IV/IM a LOT.

P.S. If you're a booster or a con artist I don't care how you get the money...I'm just being nosy. You guys know how to SWIM it up!

Around 2 grand a month, that's on top of my free rxd methadone that my health insurance pays for.

mine used to be about 3-4 grand a month... but ive been in and out of employment the past half a year or so and ive had to slow it down major. still hook up with opanas twice a month bulk at a time.

Im down to 3 dollars a day... cost of my done.. but if the clinic accounting knew i was working again, it would jump to 90/week... or around 12/day....

when i was actively using, I was like the above poster as far as money was concerned.. i was using multiple forms of income and spending a LOT...

Right now I pay $18 a day (I pay for my methadone, and for another person who goes to the clinic who gives me their mdone). Before the clinic, I spent between $20 and $800 per day, it really depended on what I could get and how much I had.

I'm new on the board. just saying hello to everyone. i would say my habits costs per day ranges anywhere from 15-50 $ a day. probably a mean average of 25-30 /day

right now a month's supply of bupe (4-6mg a day) costs me $30 which is fucking awesome...so about $1/day.

Back when I was really bad into OC's a few years ago probably about $1500-$2000/month...but I was selling them too so I was making enough to use for free. I wish those days could have lasted forever...my family and friends would disagree!

I use to spend $100 a day, but now that my habit is down I spend that in a week.

on average, I'd say 150 at the least a day to not be even half high. Of course, there are days when everything is out of place and i'm jumping ship for 1 pill/bag, but On average, throwing out the highs and the lows, between 150-350

If i buy in bulk like I SHOULD every time, $0 per day

I am currently "chipping" at the moment however... using for a few days at a time and then taking breaks with bupe...

When I'm using subs, $5/day

How much have I spent in the course of my entire opiate habit? Probly enough to buy a fucking Porsche.....

I'd say around $20-$50/day. I shouldn't complain but, of course, I still do sometimes. I guess when you're broke even $20 seems like a lot.

Currently, 140mg methadone & 50mg diazepam (paid for). Smack, between Â£20 - Â£60 (shared with another) daily.

Up until about two months or so ago, I was spending Â£200 - Â£300 daily on smack & Â£60 weekly on diazepam & temazepam.

These are some scary, even surreal figures I'm reading here, and in some cases they beg the question: "Where the hell do you get that kind of money from in the first place?".
In my own case, I've intentionally blotted from my mind the amounts of money - often virtual money, effectively - that I would spend when in the throes of my DOC use. But I can quite clear-headedly tell you all how much my bupe maintenance costs me, and that's Â£14.40 per month - the cost of two two-weekly UK prescriptions.
Fortunately (with a big 'F'), when I add a certain combination drug to this daily bupe therapy in order to get high, it costs me nothing as it's 'borrowed' from someone who has a regular script for shedloads of it.
From hundreds of pounds a month to Â£14.40; needless to say, my family's standard of living has improved somewhat.

Back when I did H, it was about $100-200 per day. That was really rough to keep up. Especially when homeless and jobless in NYC.

right now, $14/month for my patches and oxymorphs and another $14/month for my xanax and kpins...gotta love that ins. every once in a while i'll drop $200-300 for a night of "fun" for the wife and i, but those days are few and far between and pretty much over with.

i don't even wanna think about the past when it was EVERYTHING i had.
