I tend to stagger my meds a bit, using more when needed and less at the end of the month near refill time. In the beginning I definitely messed this up, and went the last week stone cold sober. Oww! Learned my lesson mostly, and for the past 6 months I've been doing well.
Anyway, my primary care physician (NOT my pain doc) is starting random urine screening for patients who take opiates, benzos, adderall, etc. I get my xanax and lexapro from this doc, not my pain doc.
My question is, given that narcotics seem to clear the system (in regards to urine tests) in 2-4 days, what happens if I am tested the last week before my refill, and come up clean ie: have no evidence of the prescribed medication in my system. Will they be suspicious of me diverting/selling it?
Also, in case anyone knows, can a typical UA tell the difference between roxicodone and viocden? I rotate between the two for various reasons, again, as prescribed by my pain doc, but my primary doc is always looking for me to screw up, due to who knows what. I've explained I have a contract with my pain doc, but because I am <30, female and unemployed currently, I guess I have a target on my back.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
