Talwin 30mg ampules

Is Talwin anything worth getting your hands on? SWIM has the opportunity to get some of these 30mg ampules of Talwin. I am wondering if I should tell my friend to get em or not.

I hear it's about as strong as dihydrocodeine or hydrocodone but if you use it in high doses it is like dxm or ketamine. seems very interesting.

ive only had the pillls and had no habit or tolerance to speak of at time if i remember right they were about . as stong as a 7.5 hydro. many years ago in the big house we use to fix the pills it kinda had a call like coke and then came like an opiate didnt last very long. i liked the pills they had a good buzz plus you can use them to taper off the tea or h or any off the other opiates

20+ years ago, I used to buy the 50mg pills from a disabled woman. I thought the buzz was quite good, it's even got some nod value in high enough doses. I'd imagine 30mg injectable would be comparable in strength to the 50mg pills (couldn't shoot those, they added naloxone to deter junkies from IV'ing them - it would bring on a nasty, immediate withdrawal). If you can get them cheap enough, it's worth a try. If it were me, I would just get a few to see if I liked them still. Back when I used to get the pills, I didn't have as much tolerance as I do now, and two of those would rock me pretty good. With the tolerance I have now, I'd be somewhat skeptical, but I'd still just have to try them!

I think orally the dose to get the NMDA antagonist effects is in the 300mg range, this might be a lot lower though IV'd, maybe only 100mg?

I know mixing Talwin with Tripelennamine was the classic T's and Blue's combo that was held in high esteem. Also the combo was used with Doriden [Glutethimide]. Just be careful your not paling with the Talwin NX.

So, So, So, SWIM has finally recieved 24 ampules of 30mg Talwin (Pentazocine), my question is that SWIM plans on using this stuff IM. What would be a good starting dose to get a good nod?? I first have to w/d of the subutex, but then its talwin time. Theres not too much info on this shit anywhere. I have noticed that it is kind of an outdated drug now, why?? Is there much euphoria that comes along with these ampules? I would assume so if they went through all the trouble to add naloxone to the pills so people wouldnt IV them.

I remember that. I didn't do'em. Back then I would go to New Orleans, and T's and Blues were supposed to be like heroin, but I had a dilaudid thing then, but I never could remember what the "blue" part of the combo was... I know a lot of people swore by'em, though, and I think maybe that is why in that part of Louisiana, Talwin became harder to get. And like DD, when I was locked up, we'd occasionally get Talwins alone from docs, when they were trying *not* to prescribe percodans and such--this was before oxycontin came on market, and trumped all of'em. I always just had the pills though, don't know about what Shauncio's got. The pills, when I got'em, were never my "first choice," usually what a doc would give me if he thought I was a dopefiend. Again, S.Louisiana had that T's and Blues thing, going strong, so they were more trading material than anything else, if I remember right. I guess the "blue" kind of potentiated the "T."

No opiate like euphoria or nodding, just felt like shit and thought I was gonna thow up. It wasnt good. Sucks cause I still have awhol bungh of em left.

I would relate it to being like drunk, stoned, and on DXM at the same time.

That crap's like Buprenorphine in that it's a partial agonist, so it would cause withdrawal in someone dependent on full agonist opioids.

Yeah, I didn't want to put it in your head...but I never liked'em. The pills, I'd give'em away. When I don't like a drug, I often compare them to Talwins. But I thought maybe muscular, like demerol, might be alright. I remember once, now, somebody had given us a little bottle of Talwin like that, and me and my old Lady kept doing'em..all it made me feel was weird.

I was hoping you'd have different experience, and since since like everybody in New Orleans thought they were the shit, that maybe I didn't do'em right or something. Doesn't sound like it, though.

Too bad, I know what a disappointment, when I'm looking forward to getting right, and it doesn't happen.

Sorry to hear that, shaunclo. A while back I had opportunity to obtain some Talwin and I found a few people who'd done it. They all said that the high was "dirty" or otherwise unpleasant. I passed and, based now upon your story, I guess it's just as well.

Years ago, before I had a tolerance, I enjoyed Talwin. Sometimes they would make me sick on my stomach but I would throw up and feel better and take more! But once I developed a tolerance they quit working. In fact they made me sick. If your addicted to opiates they can put you into withdrawals. I heard rumors that years ago the local Methadone clinics had notices on their walls warnings their clients not to mix the two because it could cause withdrawals. Demerol has a similar effect on me now. I used to love it but now that I have a tolerance to opiates Demarol has little effect on me. I don't think I go into withdrawals but I don't feel it like I use too.
