Recently i have been "borrowing" percs from my mom that she got for her leg injnry but never takes them. Today my dad calls me to his room and has 2 pill bottles in his hand and im thinking OH shit im screwed... he starts off his typical way when he is realy upset about something i did and im trying to think what shoukld i do DENY tkaing anything at all or admit it and play it off like no big deal. And he takes the pill tube and puts them away (they weren't the perc's obv) and talks about how i screwed up the familys car insurence umbrella policy. I have never been so relieved Also i should be gettin about 25 vike 7.5's today AND hopefuly more o n monday along with shrooomz

Hmmm... That's a tough one. Is it allright to "borrow" meds if they're rarely used? Junkie-ethically speaking it would probably be wrong NOT to "borrow" them, but what do you guys think?

Be careful BTW: If she rarely takes them, wouldn't she notice that they're missing? Have you thought about asking her straight out if you can take some now and then for your whatever? If she's like most parents, she'll probably be more upset about the dishonesty of it, not asking her, than she'll be about you taking them.

Ya, I'm with Eleusis on this one. Taking a patients meds is pretty fucken scandalous if you ask me but i promised myself I'd never judge anyone else 's morality so i will bite my tongue. Besides she 'never uses them.'

I'm with Hamm, too. Almost caught sounds like you narrowly escaped arrest! But I can understand how you wouldn't want to fuck up your relationship with your parents especially if you're still living there.

Pretty close call there! Don't fuck up the 'rents insurance premium or else you'll be paying your own. And that licks donkey dick, believe me I've got two cars, multiple speeding tickets and now two DUI charges to boot. Insurance is a real racket these days and in my state you CAN'T drive without it anymore. Talk about throwing your money away..

Yeah, dude, I absolutely have to agree. Unless it's a situation where they aren't used at all- some old bottle that's been forgotten or she filled them and found out she's allergic so she can't touch them anymore, I dunno how you can live with that.

it'm not sure if it's against a rule to post that, but it's generally agreed that SWIM offers no real legal protection. But, I figure if you want to shoot yourself, go ahead, but don't aim that thing at me or the Opiophile.

Yeah. There are plently of pharms already out there relativity cheap. It's not good karma to take them from anyone that needs them for pain. Best to ask for (esp. your mom). When I was really young I did the same thing he did and it was the biggest mistake of my life. Never felt worse about it after looking back on exploiting their pain for my pleasure. It's not worth the couple hours of fun to remember it for years after. Just my $.02 though.

especially percs(yucky pooh) I'm not a pharmie head at all. but i have been reading fellow opiophiles predicaments long enough to know and suggest that if ya think its worth doing but ya would like to try and not get caught then what you just might want to do is replace what you take with a look alike type of pill such as aspirin or sumthin like that. i dont know . just my two cents

If you took my meds, I would kick your fucking ass. Talk to your mom, man. She can't be that bad. If you don't ask, you'll never know. She might just give you the bottle (probably not, but we can hope). Seriously, I take ALL my meds, so your situation is probably different, but stealing somebodys pain pills is some low down dirty shit. People I know, if I need, I ask. I agree! If you've ever had your meds stolen or "borrowed" or whatever the fuck rationalization the thief chooses to use, you might think differently about this topic. I try and keep my mouth shut when topics like this come up, or ones where people are digging through old people's or whoever's meds looking for stuff.

I understand desperation and I understand sometimes we do things that aren't the most moral, but this is the lowest of the low to me. I don't care if the person is dependent or doesn't even take the drugs or whatever - leave other people's meds alone or ask if you can have or buy them - anything else is just pure BS and the person deserves a permanent PICC line full of narcan.

I'm really not directing this at anyone specific - not at the OP either - really it's more of a vent. I've had mine stolen and it just really pisses me off and gets me going (if ya haven't noticed).

OK wow... i read everyones response and i just wanna say that i think everyone has the wrong idea. First off, my mother, a sweet lady albeit, is hard-core against any drugs or alcohol. Also, she rarely even uses these pills at all and if she liked them/needed them i would NEVER take even one from her. OK with that said, how is what I am doing so wrong? If i asked her if i could have some she would scream at me and tell me that "you do not do that, that is illegal and u can get hurt". I am very far from a junkie, my desire to take some of her pills is akin to a 13 year old wanting to take his fathers Budweiser at night with his friends. I am surprised that everyone thinks im some junkie that needs to "get out of the house"... im 20 going to college and goign on the grad school to become a lawyer.
