I am currently on sub maint and have been open with my doc about my desire to slowly titrate my illicit benzo usage down to eventually zero. Once I switched from k-pin and diazepam to strictly k-pin (at his behest, mind you) my monthly UAs started coming back clean of benzos, even though I was still taking @ 1mg k-pin a day.

I have read about clonazepam specifically not showing up as benzos on the in-office dip stick tests that my doc uses, even if huge doses are ingested.

Would I be correct to assume I could indulge in the benzos of my choosing up until 2 weeks before my scheduled UA, provided I switched over to k-pin to insure that they were the only active metabolites detected before the UA was delivered?

I think the answer is yes but I would like some confirmation from some other poly-drug fiends in my particular situation, before I put all my eggs in this basket. "Yep doc, no benzos whatsoever since I told you I kicked the nasty little buggers".............

I bought a handful of benzodiazepine specific tests (BZO assay). The plan was to take some Etizolam (please note this particular etizolam was from a blister pack produced be a pharmaceutical company)

The initial plan was to take 3 pills, and then test each following day until I reached a negative result.

Then a problem arrived.... even though it was only 12 hours since taking 3mg of etizolam, I was NOT testing positive.
Just thought I should share the outcome of my experiment, take it as you will...
