I know it's not very good HR and pretty stupid actually to IM BTH without good filters with a 1/2" needle, but I did it anyway. And I've done it many many times before without ever getting a serious abcess or any other infection. So, anyway, this time it got pretty badly infected. It doesn't look too bad but it hurts like a mofo. I've never had an infection hurt this bad...

So, last night it was killing me so I looked through what drugs I had that might kill the pain a little. I had 150mg of Lyrica and 1 10mg vicodin. I thought, well, maybe the APAP in the vicodin might help a little since I knew 10mg of hydrocodone wasn't gonna do shit since I'm on 70mg of methadone daily. Anyway, I took the lyrica and the hydrocodone and about an hour later I actually felt a pretty decent opiate high. And the pain in my arm was obliterated. I thought, "what in the hell? I shouldn't be able to feel 10mg of hydrocodone... this is odd"

So, what I'm trying to figure out is, was that opiated feeling I got a product of the potentiation of the vicodin from the Pregabalin? I've heard plenty of people say Gabapentin and Pregabalin are pretty decent potentiators. But considering my high tolerance I don't see how 150mg of Lyrica could have potentiated 1 vicodin that much. So, maybe that feeling I got was from the Lyrica itself? I don't know.. but It felt very opiate like. Not like a gaba high really. Oh, and also, this morning my methadone dose feels quite a bit stronger than it usually does. I'm all itchy and I've got that good glow going on my in chest. And my daily dose doesn't usually feel this good.

TL;DR: Did 150mg of Lyrica potentiate 10mg of vicodin to the point that I actually felt a decent opiate buzz? Or was the high that I felt just from the Lyrica itself?
