I am not able to get my rx until Monday at the earliest. I have had a lot of breakthrough pain so I used more hydromorphone than I should have (and also thought I had more stashed away, but I didn't...lesson learned).

I've been taking about 8mg dilaudid to 12-16, IR, for chronic pain (which I think is ridiculous). Breakthrough, sure. But the constant pain itself? Paired with an oxycodone, I can do well for 4 or 5 hours with just one dilaudid and 1 Percocet. I'm trying to get this worked out with my new doctors but considering they don't like what I am on at all at the moment, I sincerely doubt they will let me cross medicate.

So - I have almost an entire week of withdrawals.

I just made some PST (using the famous bag method - I too used this before coming and reading the thread, however I never put the seeds directly into the bag - I would pour the wet seeds into it. I tried just putting the seeds and water into the bag itself and using the electric whisk, which ended up not spraying everywhere so hurrah! The only problem being keeping the bag from tipping over with the water inside).

I think I used about half a gallon or more of water, pretty much filled the entire freezer bag with seeds and then water to cover. Whisked, and poked the wholes and set in the colandar. There's even more draining now after I aleady dosed. I took a shower and did some mouthwash to get the taste out.

I am definitely feeling something - but based on the last time I dosed to keep out of withdrawal, I no longer get any 12 hour durations from PST - only 2 hours and then my pain is back. However, I was so upset that I couldn't sleep any longer, despite a 2 day binge of being up, and taking 1mg klonopin and 25mg benadryl to help sleep (twice in one day of trying to stay asleep) that I felt like I might just freak out and sign myself in somewhere. I've had the RLS, but never so bad - and with my arms, too, this time.

I don't get a good say in what form of meds I get. I don't like dilaudid. I think I would do better with morphine. My pain is intractable and always present - always there, unless I've taken a dilaudid and 4mg just doesn't cut it anymore except to keep w/d away. In fact, 4mg never did do anything unless a 5mg percocet was involved. I believe for me they worked together better than alone, because a 5mg percocet would do nothing for me alone either.

Okay - sorry to keep going on - my questions are a few and I have been searching but it's a little hard to decide on what to do in my situation.

What is the best water to seed ratio? I always just put enough water to cover the seeds. However - as this week goes by I cannot see being able to down any more water. I can't down a gallon at a time. I guess I will just not have pain relief but be happy that I am not sick.

My other question is - I know some people boil down pod tea, and I have had people answer me that boiling down seed tee is okay, too. I am worried to try this because I have so few seeds left. Maybe I just didn't use enough of them - because I only used 2lbs. I didn't feel a dent in w/d symptoms using my boiled down seed tea, so I am reluctant to try again.

I do have kratom - resin and powder - but they seem to do nothing for me except exacerbate my heart problems. Kava is even worse. But I am willing to give them a shot after this tea is out of my system.

I have also read good and bad about loperimide. I already have problems with adhesions so I am reluctant to try this out of fear of a blockage. But would a 8mg to 16mg a day dilaudid rx require more than a few pills of loperimide? I have Miralax, docusate sodium, etc. at my disposal.

Please let me know your opinions - I really don't know if I have enough seeds to last a week and I would have to mail order if I am going to do that. If anyone can let me know better seeds - right now I am using a popular store brand and mail ordering it. I know I have had better before - but that was when I was not on an RX. I imagine the dilaudid has made my tolerance much higher.

At least right now about an hour after chugging the tea, I feel a lot better. I hope this lasts 12 hours or at least more than 2.

Also - any thoughts on if I cannot get my meds changed from dilaudid to morphine - or oxycontin - I know that people say orally, they are useless, so I do plug them. Should I still be interested in IV? Or would that be crazy, because with my pain, it's back in less than an hour of a hospital dose of IV dilaudid. I don't think I could poke myself all day long. But I bet if I could, it would make my meds last longer? Or would it just explode my tolerance.

I also have tagamet (but after many hours of searching, I never could find if it was worth taking with dilaudid or not, and decided to maybe not use it with the tea because I read it will block the small amount of codeine and I need as much pain relief as possible). I could be wrong in these assumptions.

I'm sorry for so many many questions. Also please let me know if there is a better area for this.
