I had recently upon my last call to my surgeon before my visit (shes so busy she does phone consultations for refills alot) and I asked that my OC20 be increased to three times a day. When I went to the pharmacy, they were 10s. 90 count

This was on July 5th, the whole time preceding this I was hoping to be put back on my fentanyl 75mcg patch but she was out of town for some time so when she got back my old msg about the switch was still in there and I was called by her nurse pract. saying that the OCs were in so I picked them up and down right abused them.

I had an appt on Thursday of last week and told her that the OC10s weren't cutting it at all and I wanted back on the patch, she gave me more percs that I was able to pick up but I was unable to pick up the patches that she put in that were the 75mcg because they wanted me to turn in the OCs first. Now there was a problem in the past where she has accidentally put me from 75mcg fentanyl to 25 on accident and she didnt believe me until I had shown her the box on my next visit so I was hoping maybe this happened again or something because when she switched back to the 75mcg the pharmacy never asked me to turn in the other 25mcg patches even though there were supposed to be several left just like how there are supposed to be several OCs left in this dilemma. Now, all the OCs are gone because I was expecting to take 20mg three times a day which by equivalent would have equaled 60 of the 10s that I have been given.

My main goal by switching back to the Fentanyl was to control my pain with this transdermally, and have fun with my telemed hydro. I called the pharmacy and asked if there was any way I could pick it up and the one person I spoke to said I had to turn in the OCs but in the past there was this one lady who still works there who gave me the 75mcg fentanyl patches when I still was supposed to have a ton of 25mcg patches when the change was made just like the change was made in this situation.

I know this sounds a little complex but is there anyway I can convince the pharmacy to let me pick up the fentanyl because I'm pretty much zapped on all my long acting meds at the moment or should I do something like tell my surgeon I wanted to get off the OCs because I found them addicting or that I had to take more because of tolerance or something and thats why I wanted back on the patch (I initially got off of it because of itching which isnt that big of a deal) ?

Should I mention to her or the pharmacy that I'm completely out of the medicine IE- taken them all or something else because of the huge decrease even though it doesn't look like I'm being weaned because I'm being put back on FENT 75mcg?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm moving in about a month as well and I won't be seeing this physician pretty much any more soon which is why I'm trying to be serious about actual pain control now and have fun using alternative methods. The nurse pract. told me that I could use the rest of the OCs and have her write for the fent again when the OC time expires of days supply. I obviously didnt tell the NP I was abusing the OC. My Surgeon is very compassionate and I know that she will do something for me but I'm not sure how to approach her on this situation or at an easier standpoint how to approach the pharmacy about it if I can get them to hand it over early. I do recall being RxD fent and OC simultaneously before.

I'm up for any advice regarding this situation, I'm at a point where I literally want to be realistic about my pain and stop putting myself through it to get high most of the time. I still want to get high but just through my breakthrough meds and such.

Please, any help, advice, suggestions greatly appreciated for me

thanks guys

Bro I don't know man, that sounds foolish as fuck though. You paid for that shit, and I've never heard of having to turn a script in...I say you take your business elsewhere man.

Your story was a little too complex for me but if I were you I would stick with the doctor you have in order to get the fent patches. They seem to be the best way to control constant pain with little potential for abuse and running out every month compared to pills that are so tempting to overuse and run out of. Also at some point if I were you I would carefully tell her the patches work great for 2 days but the third day they get pretty week so maybe you could get 15/mo instead of just 10. Good luck with everything. I'm sure things will work out ok for you.

Can you get your script for the patches at another pharmacy or are you required to use the same pharmacy? Hell like someone above said you paid for them why should you have to turn them in?If you can go to another pharmacy and just use cash and don't give your insurance info,,thats if you can afford to do that...Thats about all I can think of...Good Luck Bro

I pick my scripts up in the hospital pharmacy where I live which is where my surgeon works and her office is placed, weird I know. The scripts are put in through computer I think.

anyhow to make a complete 360 on all of this, I got a script of bupe today, my last breakthrough med use was about 8 hours ago, how long until I should take the sub?

I don't understand why the pharmacy is telling you that you have to turn in the OC. I have had the Dr. ask for them back but never the pharmacy. Sounds to me like maybe the pharmacy tech wants to grab them for him/her self.

Like others stated though, you already paid for them so they should be yours. If the pharmacy persists, I would tell them that you thought your Dr. had to said to flush the remainder of the Rx, so that was what happened to them. As long as you have a legit Rx from the Dr. and your insurance is willing to pay, I would tell them to either fill it or give the Rx to you so you can fill it elsewhere.

Good luck.

I would wait until at least 12 hours, the good news is if you do take it too early the preticipated w/ds only last about 2 hours or so until the bupe gets in there and fills those receptors. I have done it to myself a few times.

I took about 100mg hydro at that time (my last use), what should I expect when first taking it?

Damn man,

Check the pupil's at the pharmacy.

This is definitely not Kosher. They

cannot resell and they know the

cost .So they will not destroy.

Bottom line change pharmacy.

They are not within the role of

a normal druggist sound's as if

greed and or script envy is in play.

Trust me when I tell you they will

take drug's that are already sold

and or accounted for ,turn the table's

and call the D.E.A., and they will turn

on the druggist ,for not filing the destroyed

form's .I think your druggist smoke's FENT.

Just a thought ............Thank Nick for the

pupil comment cause he may be correct

bulldoze ahead tell them you ran the bottle through

the washer-dryer and then tell them to tell your DR.

they are rejecting LEGITIMATE business. They will

back off. I hope, ponder this you know your people.

we do not ,if they do not want your business and with

the cost of RX med's your druggist is reselling or USING

Well if it is too early you will get instant w/ds. If it's not too early then you will start to feel better pretty quickly but not have full effects for about 2 hours. Try a small dose first, if it's not eanough re-dose after 2 hours. what strength are the Subs you have?

You're treading a fine line between getting what you want and getting screwed, Inspketor.

Definitely don't tell your Doc that you found the OCs addicting-you'll just shoot yourself in the foot.

You just gotta choose one med and stick with it. Remember that you're not gonna get as buzzed anymore from the same amount of meds-you've been on oxy/fent for how long now?

Be careful man, or you're gonna end up with fucking tramadol...

I'm doing sub for a while and like I said before the nurse prac said she (my DOC) could put the fent script back in once the OC time alloted is finished so im gonna stick with that stay with subs and use the fent patches "legitimately" when needed afterwards. No more binging, just occasional huzzahs after that.

I'm done fucking with the hassle, relief will come thanks guys for the NFO
