Withdrawin from Done or gear, whats worse?

Just thought i'd ask, whats been the worse for you:Withdrawin from Methadone or junk? Withdrawin from H was fast and hard, But from the done was a whole new ball game.I stupidly drank loads of brandy at the time, got the DT's and convinced my missus that i was crackin up. Worse experience of my life...And i've had a few bad experiences to compare wiv and that juice cluck was the fuckin worse wivout a doubt...wat say you bro's & sisters?? Raz

They seemed to be so different for me, Raz.
Dope was three days on my ass miserable, then I was able to function.
Done had me feelin' the heebie-jeebies (couldn't sleep, nervous) for a month after I kicked.
I'd have to say Done because it lasts so long.

Yes done is a lot worse due to the fact that it lasts forever, even though intensity wise it's a little less intense than dope. In my area there even isn';t a single rehab that will take someone thats on more than 60mg done a day, even though they'll take you with a 2 gram a day pure china white heroin habit. Just shows you how terrible methadone withdrawal is.

They'll make you keep going to a clinic and taper yourself down to 60mg a day for at least a week and demand proof from the clinic before they will admit you. I lied i was on tapered down to about 80mg/day. Another guy in rehab was on 200mg done a day and has had a heroin habit since he returned from vietnam./ He also lied and you wouldn';t believe how sick he was, i have never seen a person in such a bad shape, we ended up being good friends as he got there just as my WD was getting better and i helped him thru his ordeal, the only exception is the alcoholics in withdrawal.

Alcohol withdrawal looked 100X worse than even a methadone WD. And it can KILL YOU which a opiate WD can't. Fuck that, i would never become an alcoholic. personally i don;t even understand how you can become an alcoholic,. one pint + of jack daniels a day?!? Come on be serious how can anyone do that? I'd be done after day three of drinking even if i gave it my best, but to each his own poison of choice i guess.

I've never wd'ed from done because ive heard it is by far the worst wd. i have aways managed to switch to shorter half life opies like OC before taking the plunge.

I have a healthy respect for 'done.

I know this is a fairly old thread, but I don't think it can be said enough. I've never been so freaked out in my life as I've been W/Ding off of 'done. Its serious, no doubt about that. I'll never take it again, if I can help it!

ive done many opiates but ive withdrawed from 3 of them mainly, heres my experience -

oxycontin/oxycodone - EXTREMELY intense (about equal or possibly even more than heroin) but very short - only about 7 days.

heroin - EXTREMELY FUCKING INTENSE - lasts a while too - for me about 14 days to feel halfway normal again. its bareable though.

METHADONE - EXTREMELY FUCKING INTENSE AND EXTREMELY LONG LASTING - worst then heroin or oxycontin. the methadone withdrawal gave me intense and long lasting fucking excructiating restless legs and leg pain. the legs were the worst part of the withdrawal. besides the legs the loss of appetite was pretty severe also, and the depression and cravings endless and nonstop. it lasted a fucking eternity also, i swear i was feeling withdrawals STILL after like 60 days clean. not like heroin or oxy where you start feeling better about a week into it, the methadone you dont even START to feel better until your a month into it.

To me, this is always too much like: which is worse, getting buried alive, or burning to death? I mean fuck, they both suck, and it all depends on amount, and how long u've been on it, and what u have to look forward to, and whether or not u';re doing it in a cold jail cell, or in a nice warm motel, with a loving old lady making u soup and slipping u viks to ease the pain...

To me it's almost ridiculous to keep worrying about it: they both suck, and are just about impossible unless u have a lot of good factors in play: most attempts to "get off this shit," fail, as cold reality sets in, and then u kind of forget why u wanted to kick in the first place...

Methadone gets in yer system, usually takes longer, but again, depends on how long u've been doing it...most people rarely get good long heroin addiction rolling, since money, or availability makes it just about impossible, so most of us, think methadone is *worse* simply because we've been saturated for long periods with it...

I've kicked heroin up in the bushes around Morro Bay, and i'll tell you, that's the worst I've ever seen...but again, it's so subjective as to be nonsensical, and neither one is fun....

i find coming off methadone slightly easier.... it seems more gradual, where with dope it comes on fast and thick. obviously, meth withdrawal lasts so much longer, which sucks. maybe its more a psychosamatic thing.... my state of mind at the time? who knows. all i know is, withdrawing makes me want to commit suicide, but its too painful to go through with. i think "ill get one last shot, then kill myself" *rolls eyes*

I think gear is a shorter rattle but more intense, and the methadone longer, more drawn-out but no as painful. Obviously I'd choose none of em if I had to like cuz both of em are a fuckin BITCH!!!

Oh man. Never had to WD from Methadone real bad. But it sucked. My worst kick was most recent. I was real sick for a whole week. Throwing up, shitting. Back and legs hurt . Kicking non stop and moaning during the night. WD's suck period.

For me 150mg of 'done in jail was easier to deal with than a g of dope while at home. if that makes any sense.

I think methadone is just more gradual and makes dealing with daily tasks easier.
