Not enjoying Tramadol like i used to..

Ever sense i was prescribed Morphine by my pain doc i seem not to be enjoying Tramadol like i used to. I still like it but not like i used to. I keep thinking about when i get my refill on Morphine next week lol. I could easily go make some Poppy seed tea, it almost always works for me and i get a great high but I'm kinda broke right now. But i could if i wanted to. I'm craving the Morphine so much.

I remember when i first started taking Tramadol about 3 years ago, OMG it was amazing!! i could do anything, i could finish projects, i could be creative and have unlimited but not so much now. It's kinda sad because Tramadol has been my best friend and lover for a long time and it kinda feels like I'm losing a best friend ya know.

I got my refill of 240 Tramadol today and i wasn't even excited. The only thing I'm happy about is i have Tramadol till i get my Morphine, 240 trams last me about 7 days. So I've got it timed perfectly. I get my Morphine in 7 days.

I've always loved opiates, any kind ... i used to love Vicodin. After my car accident i was precribed Vicodin HP (The tens) and i took those for like 2 years and on and off with Percocet. but than i found Tramadol and what's so strange is Vicodin actually makes me so sick now, sometimes if i think about Vicodin i get that gag feeling in my stomach and throat. Strange.

I used to get sooooo excited on Tramadol refill day. I could barely sleep the night before- well, this depends on if I'm in withdrawal or not. Today i wasn't in withdrawal because i already had Tramadols when i got the additional 240 today.

Well i guess i just moved up in my addiction, or maybe i should say down. I've been content and comfortable with Tramadol for so long. I wish it made me feel like it used to.

Tramadol still gives me energy but it doesn't give me that lovey-dovey, warm and fuzzy, happy go lucky, in love with everything that Morphine gives me. And what i like about the Morphine is it makes me so creative and i can get my drawings done. Trams used to help me with that but i don't even feel like drawing on trams now.

Oh well... what are ya gonna' do, right!

Maybe tomorrow I'll treat myself to some Poppy seed tea.

My love affair with Tramadol seems to be over. I'm sure any of you could have told me this was gonna happen, I'm sure it's not a shock to anyone lol.

Goodluck Goddess. But holy shit you take almost 35-40 trams a day??? Damn girl. Anyhow, enjoy the tea. I myself have many seeds awaiting me, but have yet to try it. Will be out early and started wd soon so I may just be trying it then. But, morphine seems to last a very little time, short buzz.

How come people are warned not to take more than 400mg of tramadol at a time because it's notorious for causing seizures beyond that dosage, yet the Goddess is taking approximately 1,700mg a day and apparently surviving?
Goddamn, woman, you must be some sort of walking epileptic!!

Anyway, as a matter of interest, I used to take trams to wake me up and give me an energetic buzz. I'd only need 150mg to get a decent kick-start. But then I met and fell in love with H. That was a year ago, and whenever I take, say 200mg tramadol now, I feel nothing... but NOTHING at all from it.
You see that's what the morphine is doing to you, Goddess, it's burning out the receptors that used to happily respond to the tramadol.

I don't know how i survive either. I take 10 trams at a time. It took a year and half to get to that dose. My body is just used to it i guess. I'm shocked I've never had a seizure as well. Although sometimes when I'm falling asleep i have like big jerk that wakes me up, it happens just as i'm dozing of, that maybe some sort of seizure but they don't hurt or anything, it last only a second. I have that almost everynight but it only happens once a night.

Also with my last dose of the day around 5pm, some times my chin quivers by it's self. IT only last a second or two. It used to scare me but not anymore, i figure it just comes with the territory.

I refuse to go any higher than 10/11 pills at a time. I'm sure if i take more than that I'd have a seizure, and i don't wanna find out.

i had to cut down on trams myself i was up to 600+ mg plus too many tylenol pms mixed with it. i've been taking tramadol daily since i got off booze some years ago. still works for me though.

Well i like Tramadol better than Vicodin but not more than Percocet. I can't seem to take Vicodin anymore, it makes me sick for some reason.

Just counting the days till refill day LOL I really like Morphine. And it last so long for me. That's one reason i like Tramadol is because it last longer than Vicodin... at least for me it does.

The only time I tried tramadol was about 6 months into my PST habit and my tollerance was still pretty low. The trams did nothing other than give me some insomnia. I think you need to move up the ladder and save the trams for the hard times.

You know whats wierd is I'm the total opposite. Trams never use to do ANYTHING but take Vicoden W/D's away. I got a script for 60 every 2 weeks with 4 refills (240 all together) and took 5 the day I got the script and boyyyy I felt GREAT! It was wierd almost like I wasn't fucked up but just felt fantastic. It was such a clean buzz, I watched a movie with my Dad and really enjoyed it. I couldn't stop smiling or moving my legs back and forth and the comp. So much energy and bliss. I was totally shocked!! I use to always doen trams, calling them useless for anything but W/D's. I have a new perspective of them today. To tell you the truth I have cut back my Vicoden intake massively since I felt this rush from Tram. I tried it again the next day with same dose(5) and WHAM! Same wonderful expierence. Maybe take a break for a while Goddessofrats. Or maybe the morphine is making your tolerance to the trams sky high. I am just amazed by the feeling I experienced. Maybe I was getting bunk trams last time I took them. I have added yet another opoid to my list. And this opoid is QUITE easy to get ;)

Trams were the DOC for many a peer in college. I never understood it. I definitely got fucked up after taking 6, but I never enjoyed the effects as much as real opiates.

See, that's exactly how Trams USED to make me feel. About 6 months ago i noticed i wasn't getting the same energetic bliss i used to, like in the beginning. And than after being prescribed Morphine last month I'm enjoying them even less. I think both of the things you stated are true 1) My tolerance has been affected by the Morphine and 2) i need a brake from the trams.

Tonight I'm enjoying the poppy seed tea i made earlier- nice warm and fuzzy buzz right now. I wish i could afford PST more often.

I got close to the point you are at once. I took 28 tram in a day and felt almost nothing. That was enough for me to take some time off. When I started taking tram again I experimented with all kinds of different doses. I find that taking 4 at once is the best possible dose. I have been using for about two years now and the last 6 months or so without any break. Im about to take some time off as it is just starting to loose its efficiency. I do binge up to 12 or so 50mg tabs in a day but I ussualy regret wasting my preciouse tram since I know that 4 tram with 2 more in 4 hours and 2 more 2 hours after that will keep me going perfectly. I dont use this for pain though. It just makes me active, social and happy which is very different from the depressed antisocial hermit I used to be. Since starting tram my GPA has gone from a 2.0 to a 3.8.

I suggest taking a few days off (use something non opiate to get by if you need) and taking 4 tram after breakfast the next day. Wait a full two hours and then take another 2 if you need. The effects of tram are very subtle, and breaking the 200-300mg mark seems to acctualy take away from the experience.
Also the tolorance seems to go away with only a day or two off, sometimes a week if you have been on for over a month. btw, I love vics, percs, t3s, morphine, etc, as well but dont have access to them like I do tram so I only use them on special occasions (2-3 times a month) but my ussual dose for hydrocodone is 30mg and 15-20mg for oxy and 100-250mg for codein if that helps you understand my tolorance. Of and 2-4 pounds of poppy seeds depending on potency. Im 6'5 and 230lbs btw.
