I have been a 15+ year user of opiates due to having a medical condition that "necessitates" their usage (recurrent kidney stones...and boy do they suck!).
This morning, I went to the xxx pharmacy to get my monthly supply of 120 generic Watson-brand 10/500mg Lortabs.
After years of "use," I have always been worried about the long-term effects of the APAP. This morning, I decided I was going to do something about it.
I decided I would flush all 120 of them down the toilet...not!
I got up early this morning while my wife (a non-opiate user) and my children were still in bed. I decided I would try the famed "cold water extraction" technqiue for hydrocodone.
I don't want to ramble on, but if anyone ever desires to decrease the amount of APAP in such medications, I highly suggest you give "CWE" a try. I was skeptical (and also worried about messing up and wasting all my stuff), but this technique works.
This morning, I feel much better because my stomach does not have to tolerate all of the APAP. The effects from the medication are increased and absorption has been increased to the point of not having to wait very long for the effects.
For those who question "CWE," consider giving it a try as it DOES work and its better on your stomach.
I am no chemist (surviving a college level chemistry course with a B minus), so if I can successfully complete the extraction process with an excellent yield, you can too!
I'm fairly new to this group, so I would like to say hello to everyone and to please be careful.
Have a good morning!
