hello all,

this is my first real post, out of the introduction stuff. swim is an involved participant in the trade, working currently in montreal. swim has a run, and usually carries everything else under the sun, which makes swim's customers happy, but usually not opiates, which makes swim's job easier, considering he has no desire for other things. tonight, the boss of the run came up to swim with a paper saying 'we're getting this:' and on it was scribbled two random boring do-nothing opiates, and 'HYDROMORPHINE: 2x50mg'.

i told him, 'it's probably hydromorphOne.' and he was adamant -- no. it is not. since swim, with the years, learned not to argue with the boss, he figured, let's get them for himself. the boss was going to sell them for fifty each, but since swim is an owner/operator of this run, he got them for $10 each. now, i know for a fact that 50mg hydromorphone pills are pretty much impossible to find. or ARE THEY?


basically, if you've ever come across these things, give me a shout. swim is scared to do a whole pill, or even half of one, because the dosage, if it's right, is quite daunting. other than that, if there is a possibility of these pills being a lower dosage that was not read right to begin with (which, i suspect, is the case), then please share your experience & knowledge with hydromorphone.

you raise a good point, therefore, swim opened up the bag & dropped it on a cd case.

the result was a bunch of orange powder, with any recognizable name filed off the original pills. this is truly the mystery dose. swim's not even sure what to do with this. most likely, mixing it with water & then waiting for something.

side note - since swim put it on the cd case, it's been a huge bitch getting the stuff back into the tiny bag. seriously. swim's been working for like ten minutes and he's not even done yet.

One things for sure, nobody on earth has ever manufactured a 50mg hydromorphone pill. That's insane. I have a massive resistance to that stuff, but even I would be frightened to do 50mg of hydromorphone. The most I've ever done was 32mg (8 pills at 4mg each) -- and even then my true dose was probably less due to inefficiency in preperation. And predictably, 32mg knocked me on my ass. 50mg would be deep into the LD50 region even for somebody like me, with a habit.

On the other hand, doctors don't give drugs names that vary by single letters like that. They do that on purpose--could you imagine the confusion if there was some drug named "cyinide" that was always being confused for "cyanide" ? I think you see my point...

So... somebody here is bullshitting. Don't know who or how or why, but something to this story doesn't add up.

woowoo, you are correct.

everything you said is true; i'm slightly afraid that somewhere, somehow, there is a very slim possibility that a basement alchemist decided to create 50mg pills, and that's truly what we have. but, in actuality, i also don't think this is possible.

swim plans on trying these tonight, and seeing what happens.

swim is fairly certain that this person meant 5mg instead of 50mg. we'll see what goes on right about now. again, swim did not get this from a random source, it's from swim's suppliers on the run, who we have been dealing with for over five years. swim feels the danger is lessened.

i think i tend to agree with woowoo here. no such thing as a 50mg hydromorphone pill, and someone's bullshitting, scamming, or completely misinformed. i've never heard of this med coming in a 5mg formulation either... it always seems to be in even #'s (2, 4, or 8mg; or 16 up to 32mg in the extended release). i could be wrong, but i don't think so.

so anxiene, what's the verdict? did you try it? did you get a buzz? no matter who it's gotten from, i'd be questioning what it was with all the imprints filed off.

swim ended up crushing the whole mess, & trying to level it. the intake was about half the bag, which would have been equivalent to about one whole pill. the entire buzz was a non-buzz, seeing as swim is used to much larger doses. something was felt, yes, but nothing like what was promised in the first place.

swim ended up taking the other half & putting it up for sale on swim's drug run, for an amount which basically covered the initial purchase. this half might make somebody happy for a very short time. nothing spent, nothing gained. end!

This is true. Is it possible that these pills were actually morphine. I believe that MS contin 60mg tabs are orange. I would not be selling that shit to anyone, not knowing what it is or what strength. Hydromorphone is dispensed as RX Queen noted above, no other formulations exist

You're only out 20$, not several hundred, if I'm understanding you correctly??? I'd chalk that up to experimentation and move on w/ a clear conscience that somebody w/ a much lower tolerance is still enjoying their opiate breakfast tomorrow morning. Also, sorry to hear it didn't get your head right, as you were expecting. Those let-downs are some of the worst in life. :D

seriously. some parts of this town are filled with con artists trying to hock m&ms as pharmaceuticals & bags of dextrose as various other substances. i'm slightly distraught that this awful trend has started making its way into my own circles, however. bad news.
