I noticed a list of supposed legal OTC morphine products that are sold in the UK.
DIOCALM contains 4.74 milligrams per 12 pills......
J.Collis Brownes mixture contains 3 milligrams per 15 millilitres..........
Kaolin and morphine mixture contains .916 milligrams per 10 millitres....

other products, one called opazamines I couldnt find any info on....another was called Enterosan.

even though those are small amounts, I would still LOVE to have this type of access to morphine. what a kick. I suppose that codeine as well is available OTC over there as well.

Any UK opiophiles substantiate this? do you have to ask the pharmacist for them behind the counter?

I got s littlr bit of respect for a country that makes morphine avialable for diarrhea in low dose formulations like this.

natural products like this shouldnt get moved over or blanketed by synthetic patented drugs......people in the states should still have monthly access to OTC codeine, but the monopolys and feds seem to work in tandem to fuck us on this right to codeine.someone who is invested in tramadol made a killing there probably when major chains started nixing OTC codeine.

I hear rumors of a pharmacy in the next county that still honors the once a month signed for codeine OTC syrup. bless em!

yeah I've read about this too. sounds good but you'd need a case of those things to feel anything.

Dude. Once a month? In Virginia, it's every 48 hours, technically. You can buy Guiatuss AC or Robitussin AC , 4 ounces (120ml) - 15mg/5ml codeine phosphate/ guaifenisin syrup.

Most of the younger (predominantly female, Vietnamese) pharmacists will not sell it, as they are scared shitless of the idea or are just plain ignorant of the laws concerning the sale of C-V narcotics in the Commonwealth. I used to buy it a lot when I was in pharmacy school, and no H was available, and I also sold it many times in my 2 and a half year stint as a pharmacist, which ended in my license being yanked for "diversion of controlled substances for unauthorized personal use."

this type of formulation may not have great recreational appeal, but if I had the ability 6 years ago to detox with small amounts of morphine or codeine I would have been stoked. not to mention having access to medications that really work well, like morphine.

every 48 hours in virginia zoop? that is great. I used to go around and sign for my bottle a month at several different pharmacies when I was younger, say 1988.

different states have different laws, I imagine that in alaska codeine prescriptions might be pretty lax as well?.

Yeah, the law says every 48 hours, but it's a different matter trying to convince a pharmacist that you need another bottle two days later.

Hi! I live in the UK and indeed there is a medicine for Diarrhoea called Diocalm Dual Action 20 and 40 tablets. It is over-the-counter and each tablet contains:

Morphine hydrochloride 0.395mg, Attapulgite (activated) 312.5mg, Attapulgite 187.5mg.

Attapulgite, also known as Palygorskite, is a magnesium aluminum silicate - basically a mineral.

The question is whether it is possible to extract the Morphine HCL in water leaving the minerals behind. Morphine hydrochloride, is soluble 1:21 in water and 1:10 in boiling alcohol. It is practically insoluble in chloroform or ether.

That's a good think since for 130 tablets that are equal to a content of 51.35 mg of Morphine HCL one would theoretically need only about 1ml of water!!? That's according to my math skills which are imperfect at most...

However, it would be impossible to go through an exctraction procedure just with 1ml but it anyway means that you need minimal quantities of water... Am i correct???

Collis Brownes mix... Shit... Takes me back, Jack!

Also, with the K+M kaolin + morphine, we used to get a load of bottles, then just leave them alone for a few days, and all the M would rise to the top, and the K to the bottom... Tastes like death though!

When we were kids, you could go and buy, (steal!) a bottle of codiene tablets from Boots! (pharmacist) OTC!

we have dihydrocodiene too 7.5 mg a tab not bad for OTC since two is a dose. pods are still cheaper if you know where to go
