Ive heard of that quite a bit. Actually heard alot about it from this site. Ive took my cottons and saved them in a small crack vial or empty pill bottle. Chew em up when Im desparate for whatever is on them, never been H though. Although never really did much for me

yeah, but you better hope that you stored and dried those things properly. rinsing old cottons is one of the easiest ways to get cotton fever (or trash fever, depending on the lingo in your area). if you've never come down with it before, that's one cherry you don't wanna bust!

i've had it a number of times, and it's no fun at all.... lotsa folks here can attest to this. be careful! you might wanna just do what pill said, and just chew on them things instead. cotton fever is a bitch.

Don't fuck with the cottons. If you ever get a dose of cotton fever, you'll understand why.

I have kept cottons in a container of rubbing alcohol for the purpose of getting high from them while trying to avoid cotton fever.

I reuse ALL my cottons, have done so for years, and haven't had a cotton fever episode in decades. Clearly it is not the cotton that causes cotton fever, although I expect there will be some here who will insist I'm wrong about that. That's OK, believe what you want, I'll keep on doing what I do and continue to not get cotton fever.

Here's my routine for used cottons: after a 2 (or occasionally 3) bag shot, I'll leave the cotton out until it dries completely. This is the crucial step, bacteria love moisture, so it has to dry thoroughly. The dried cotton gets saved in a vial. After I've accumulated anywhere from 5 to 10 cottons, I'll take a syringe, remove the plunger, and shove some brand new cotton down to the bottom of the barrel to act as yet another filter. Then I'll shove the 5 to 10 used cottons down there on top of the new cotton. The final step is to add near-boiling water, re-insert and depress the plunger, and lo and behold.... What emerges from the needle is usually a slightly brown solution that looks very much like a shot of dope - because it is! I'll usually squirt this stuff into a spoon, sometimes just on it's own and sometimes over another bag of dope. Then the whole thing gets filtered up through yet another new cotton, which afterwards becomes a candidate itself for re-use... It's a recycling scheme!

I estimate that each 5 to 10 cotton run-through is equal to about 1/2 to 3/4 of a bag - definitely worth the effort, especially when you're out of dope and the cottons are all that's left. Saved my ass many times that way, let me tell you.

And I absolutely never get cotton fever, ever.

Note and Disclaimer: Use this recipe at your own risk, but it sure works for me. It helps if you use larger size cottons, and obviously if you deliberately leave a little tiny bit of dope in your cottons that will help even more. Your personal mileage may vary.

I used to use the exact same method. But, I only did it when I had a habit. Although I never got cotton fever either, I don't think it's worth doing when you're just chipping or have plenty of dope.

...I don't think it's worth doing when you're just chipping or have plenty of dope.

Cold be the day in hell when I waste even the most miniscule drop of dope. I have always saved and re-used my cottons when the dope ran out. It's never a good idea to count on them keeping you well though, the buzz is usually pretty short lived.

I do /have done the same thing as the Z man. Used to keep a drwaer full for emergencies. Just be sure to use a clean technique to prevent the bacteria from growing..this is what makes you sick ie "cotton fever".

I know lots of junkies that do it. It's good in a pinch when you are ill..but don't expect to get high. Oh and don't eat it, eating H is worthless.

There is always the risk of getting cotton fever no matter how careful you are. Like RXqueen said..that's one Cherry you don't want to pop.

Good luck

i save them for when i'm sick, and ill put them all in the spoon and crush them and then pull them out after theyre not dark anymore and put a litttttttle piece of cotton in it and draw it all up.

i've never gotten HIGH, but i've felt a rush.
