I stopped hitting my arms about 1 1/2 months ago and started hitting my hands, but the dark streaks over veins have not gone away. Does it just take more time?

Eventually they may fade.
If they are bad enough, they may look like a scar/dark spot/ blemish for the rest of your life.

Yeah, it could take months if not years for them to fully go away, if they even do. There are threads on here about things, typically oinments, that help them heal faster. Just do a quick search and I'm sure you'll find out what you need.

^^ Good advice..but use it before it's too late. My arms legs and even my neck have permanant marks.

Just noticed where you are located. Weird I had a dream about being there and trying, trying to get downtown to those big buildings in the inner city where i just knew i was gonna score. Course I've never been there. i think i was dreaming of home..but for some reason I got my coasts messed up. Course I did have a fever of 103.;)

check my post in "The Scene". Scoring Downtown isn't nearly as easy as it used to be. You gotta know people, otherwise you're probably going to get burned. Luckily, a few guys I know haven't been arrested yet! :::wipes brow:::

Kinda on the same subject....does anyone else get that goopy bloody stuff sometimes when trying to register, the kind of thing that'll ruin a rig? Fucking aye, I hate that shit. Especially when it's my last outfit.
Man, I'm really jonesin' now.

No, actually it's gone down. They're just trying to clean up Downtown, from what I hear.

On a side note...
Does anyone have any good excuses for track marks? For example, tracks would be obvious to an RN or Dr. when they're taking your blood pressure, taking blood, etc. So, what would be a good excuse? Would, I give a lot of blood work? How about, I had a lot of iv's done when I was sick?
Personally I don't have this problem, as all of my tracks have faded since I used to use, but it would be good to know and I'd imagine it would be helpful for some members...

those're blood clots, they start to build around your veins. you may not even be properly IN the vein, just near it, or the vein is too clotty and scarred too use. that's when it's time to find a new vein. maybe try your ankles? if you're just shooting h i'm surprised your veins are that torn up, coke and speed are the quickest way to eff up every nice vein you have.
hiradoid cream helps tracks supposedly.
mine scars are still super bad after 6 months.
luck,
t
I HATE L.A.
Oh and man,I have tracks which are old.If you're lucky they fade in time.
Look on the brightside,I have tracks on my hands.

Dont want Those Pesky TRACKS?
Use a new needle all the time.
Use Cocoa Butter (REAL Cocoa butter) on them to prevent any scarring and to fade any scars already there.
Worked for me because my Scars are barely even visible now.
If someone use's needles that are as dull as a Roofing Nail, well then, theres a strong possibility your goin' to have some Serios Holes your bodies got to fill in, and yeah, Theres gonna be some Scarring!
New needles are the best way to go,even though you may have to pay for them.( We get them free Here.)
I shot dope for Years that way and I have almost no sign of it at all.
