at one point in my life, i was driving a good 8-10 hours every sunday night/monday morning to go out of state and get a week's worth of take-home methadone. i eventually had to stop doing this as my car and my wallett couldn't hold up.
i'm curious if there are any others out there doing such things? or do they allow take-homes to those in-state? (they didn't when I was going, quite a few years ago...)

overseas? was that for anethesia-assisted or ibogaine?
methadone is definitely the way to go for those that need that high; that up and down - hell, i liked it and would probably take methadone over buprenorphine (buprenex) anyday if it were available in my area. it's certainly much cheaper.
inpatient/long-term maint. is just too much. there's just too many options out there to assume one should put their life on hold, lose their jobs, etc....
The way to go is definitely to try to get it prescribed for pain. So many less rules, and what person who has a problem that wants methodone does not have pain too?

It depends on how long you have been on their program, and basically on the program itself as most clinics are privately owned and make up their own rules.
Mine is great, though they are worse than drug pushers when it comes to the stuff (could be seen as good or bad, most in here would probably think it's good).
Anyway, I have been given over a month of take homes at a time in state, which, I think answers your question. I just said I had to travel (business trip) for several weeks, and didn't want to stop from unknown clinic to unknown clinic to get my dose. They were very MORE THAN cool with that. (That way they still got their money, and for them that's what it's all about).
If anyone has any questions about methadone clinics, or methadone in general, I've been taking the stuff for three years now the legal way and would be happy to answer, or if I don't know, find the answer. If you prefer, send me a private message. My email at home doesn't get read much unless I am expecting something.
THANKS!! :)
