Lately i have been getting a little curious as to what it is like to take a shot of H. Currently I only smoke tar and before that I just snorted Oxycontin's. I always told myself that i would never shoot it, blah, blah, blah, but now i am a little curious. I want to at least try it once, i want to try everything one time, that is how all this began, but that is another story. So i have given it a lot of thought in the last few days, and I decided i would at least find out where you get a hypodermic needle from. Obviously it is easy to get whatever you need to smoke or snort shit, so this has never been an issue for me, but now i need some advice. What size of needle do i get, where, should i get more than one, are there differnt types, whatever you feel like passing on to me would all help and be appreciated. I read all over this forum about the procedure of how to do it (prepare and take a shot), I feel pretty comfortable about all that. Just in case though, I use tar, not powdered H (I wish i could get that), so if you have read the more current posts about preparing shots and for some reason they don't apply to tar, it would be cool for someone to point that out also.... the more you know. haha. Im not sure so much if my mom knows exactly what was going on, she kept asking me if someone had given me an open drink at sometime during the night, so i think she thought i was sharing drinks with this girl i was hanging out with and that someone tried to date rape her and i ended up drinking it instead. I didn't rush to correct her on that theory, so i suppose to this day she thinks that someone just put something in my drink (i was pretty drunk when i got back to the hotel room, and openly admitted it to her). Id rather have her think that then heroin withdrawls, I like to stay in a good relationship with my parents.

Not real sure but there might be something in the harm reduction forum. I think it details the safe use of heroin and other drugs, I'd check but I got stuff going on, ya know :)

I think like 1" 28 gauge is the best. But that link I put up there has the right rigs you need all done up for you, just order those, that's all you need...

Dude, (this has been said but I'll say it agian from my own experience) there is not such thing as one shot.

And by the way H (and I assume anything) actually hits you faster when you smoke it than when you shoot it, so provided you can take a big enough hoot for the rush you want there is no point to tying a shot.
And for all you doubters its a fact that smoking H hits you in 3-7 seconds - IV takes 15-30 seconds.

Of course to re-inforce my initial point I have a giant lung capacity from years of pot smoking and yoga breathing exercises but like (virtually) anyone whos used IV i would never "waste" an opiate I could fix by taking it anyother way (even if doing so meant diging through my own garbage to find a rig to bleach!!)

As for the reason for the thread and I'm starting to feel worse and worse for you yankees, (here in Canada) I can go to most pharmacys and simply ask for "a ten pack of 1cc insulin syringes please" the success rate drops when you don't sound like you know exactly what you need - of course if I don't want to pay for them there are 3 places (i know of) which will give rigs for free to addicts - the last time i went (I'm on oral methadone and "try" to abstain for the most part...) I went somwhere I'd never been before and walked out with a paper lunch bag full of rigs, alcohol swabs, (only one since they're expensive and usually reserved for homless junkys) sterile water, and a sharps container to boot...the people I spoke to were very friendly and no I didn't show them my arms...

yeah, i hear you on that one shot thing, it really doesn't exist. Neither does one hit or one line, so.... I just got a couple syringes from a pharmacy, 22G by 1 1/2, seems a little bigger than the last post but i think it should still work. Maybe that is even a HUGE needle, i have no idea. I know at that link they had bigger ones.

On another topic, who here prefers shooting to smoking? or is it you cant smoke the powder? I dont know because i only have had tar, all my friends smoke it, some people shoot it, i hear that shooting is most intese. Yeah, i can smoke myself into feeling really good pretty easily, but i just wanted to give a shot a try, AT LEAST, one time. If smoking is indeed better of a rush then why is shooting so popular when i has so many more risks involved?

I, too was reluctant at first to try a shot. At the time I was living in Atlanta, GA, and good (or even REAL) H was really hard to come by, but Dilaudid was everywhere. I had snorted hundreds of dollars worth, and everyone was telling me to save some money and shoot the damned things, but I just didn't want to try it. Finally, the financial situation started to get pretty bad, so I gave in. The first time I did it was like a revelation. I could have shot myself with a gun rather than a syringe for having ignored all of the others for so long, but I also realized that it was not the best road to be on either.

Once I finally found the REAL shit, I almost had an orgasm it was so good! The first time I got hold of the real H, I stayed high for about 10 hours on one shot that cost about $17US. I was riding around with my friends, and it's a wonder they didn't kick me out of the car I was so obnoxiuos.

Anyway, I now have really good syringes. They are primarily used for IM admin (that is, by the people who use them in normal situations), but they work really well for IV as well. If I could just get some good micron filters to get all of the crap out, shooting the morphine pills would be a regular occurrence around here...

ive been thinking about this all day, I must have not used nearly enough when i took my shot, or it didn't hit very hard because i had smoked earlier that day, so i already had a buzz. Considering all the trouble and mental anguish you have to go through to prepare and take a shot (I really dislike poking my arm with a needle) and the high you get out of it, I would really rather just smoke or snort it. Im guessing that shooting has to be better than what i got out of it otherwise it wouldn't be so popular. Dont get me wrong, it was a good buzz off only a small amount, but for all the trouble Im not too sure about it. I really think it is just because i didn't use enough, I only shot up with under half of what i would smoke in a sitting to get a mild buzz. I don't think i need to be so worried about OD'ing. I would really like some advice on how many cc's an average shot should be, and what is the upper limit on the volume of a shot while still being safe? Thanks everyone.

You need clean works...period. Im not condoning anything you may do with the works but I DO condone safety..and I know if someone wants to use a work they will use one regardless if theres clean new ones or not..
go to your pharmacy and say " Id like a 10 - pack of the BD ultra fine 1 cc's"
if they ask for a diabetic card just say 1) you left it at home or 2) its for your father/mother/grandpa
if they wont sell them to you dont argue just say "ok thanks" smile...and get the fuck out of there.
It varies from city to city pharmacy to pharmacy on poilcy regarding syringes.
I know walgreens wont sell them unless you have diabetic card..
Youll have better luck at smaller mom and pop pharmacies.
Oh and "BD" is the brand name of the best syringes "Ultra fine" refers to the patanted lubricated needles that BD has "1cc" refers to the size of syringe..just so you know what you are asking for.
I personally preferred the 1/2 CC to the bigger 1 CC''s but thats up to you..
