make friends

i think people should use this forum as a way to make new friends. I can't share some of my "hobbies"/ "free time activities" with most of my other friends, and doing them alone is not fun, so it would be nice to meet some new people. I know using the internet to meet people is a little strange, but oh well. If you want to meet people in your area you should post your name, where youre from, and an email address (or just communicate over this forum). By the way, this post is strictly to make friends, just friends for sake of being friends. What you choose to do with your friends is up to you, but it would be nice to be able to meet new people, especially if you have recently moved and do not have a lot of friends, like me.

People are weird. Maybe the reason nobody commented on your thread is because there is one already like it that was started a while back.

It's called "let's get to know each other" Just use the "search" function at the top menu. You can put all about yourself in a comment there and people will read it, because when a new comment goes up on that thread, it will re-appear on the front page of this 'site.

Also, you can put all about yourself in your bio in your public profile.

oh, thanks for the response. I just think its cool to have friends who enjoy the same activities that you do, and its hard to find new friends when you are on a subject that isn't so easy to bring up without being heavily judged. Im also in Vegas so i was hoping that if anyone is planning a trip here they would give me a heads up and, like the title, we could be friends. I always like meeting new people and gaining a story that i can tell someday down the line. Just thought this thread would be a cool place to meet some fellow, im not sure what word to use here, but ill try users, addicts, junkies (in a good way)... I hope this makes sense. I think another reason no one replied is because what we do is illegal and no matter how honest and nice you seem you could be a cop. One of us hops on a plane to go see you with a suit case full of narcotics and then no one ever hears from us again. No offense but I'm a bit paranoid and I bet a lot of other people are as well. It's also not in your favor that you haven't been here that long and no one has gotten to know you yet. I do every thing I can to not allow any connection between who I am and this board outside of what I type. I won't list an email address supplied by my ISP and I've only given my first name out in PM's to people I believe I can trust. I'm sure some government agency has caught sight of this board by now and while we aren't doing any thing illegal by posting here some of the activities we discuss are.

Yeah, it's just that having a hobby that can land you in prison does tend to make people a bit close-lipped about it (heh, aside from the judgement angle that you mentioned... honestly, I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about me, I don't care to spend my next 5-15 years at the same address because of what I do to feel okay).

I hear that. If the doctors prescribe Prozac for you it's called treatment. If you self-medicate for whatever reason, it's called crime and you get a free ticket to disneyland if you get too careless. No reason to give out private info. We can still share info and be "friends" without all that.

On a 5 year sentence, I got a Flat 4 (4 years) in Jersey for my first felony and served 34 months having been deined parole twice, 1st for Likelihood, second for Program Non Participation. I maxed. My crime? 8 dimebags of NYC heroin and 2 vials of crack...at least I did not get caught here because that would have been death.
