How much time until Oxy's will work?

How much time needs to elapsed between methadone consumption and Oxycontin consumption, so that the oxy's effects are not blocked by the methadone? Once I took an oxy a day after taking methadone, and it felt like I had taken maybe 60mg's of codiene,a total waste of a good oxycontin!

It depends on what dose of methadone you are taking, as well as frequency of intake. Methadone doesn't really reduce the effect of other opiates unless you get above a certain dosage and/or take in on a regular basis. I believe it's somewhere around 60mg or so. Below that, it should actually potentiate other opiates.
