Well y'all, reality is startin' to set in, and I figured it might be a good time to share this one with the opiophiles.

On June 21st, I have my probation violation hearing in Franklin County. There is a damned good chance the judge will send me to the penitentiary, as I took a theft conviction on the candle.

It doesn't matter that the motherfuckin' police held guns to me and boys head when they kicked the door in.
I guess 'due cause' was shown, considering my old man's record was a long and violent one.

I hope to good it won't happen, but if it does, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you.

Any suggestions as to what to use for my defense when it's my turn to speak at the hearing???

I suck at legal advice cowgirl, but I shall say a prayer (insert your own form of bet hedging here) for you and send out some good vibes on your behalf. I hope things work out for you for the best. With a little luck, you'll come out on top.

Oh honey, I'll be praying for you. If the worst happens, how long will you be gone? I just wish I could wave a magic wand and have all this bad stuff magically disappear...

I always go with contrition. You know..."I'm sorry."and try hard to look sincere while imagining shooting the judge.

Good luck sis,I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

What Tui said, i think anytime a cop puts a gun to your kids head when you stole a fucking candle he's way out of line.

Yep, I agree. When this is all over, me and my attorney are going to go the media and sue the sheriff and police dept.

If I do go back, its for 12 mos. With good time, probably about 81/2-9 mos.
It's just a college for criminals. Just the kind of rehabilitation I need.

I think the judge might be considering re-instating my probation, or, he would've rolled me at the hearing where I stipulated to 'absconding' for 6 years.

Back in the day when the judge was starting out as an attorney, my grandfather gave him his first job practicing in his law firm in 1978. I'm sure this fact is lingering in his mind too, as to where I came from.
Grandpa was Lt. Govenor in KS in the late 60's to mid 70's.;)

If not, I'll post my DOC # along with the prison address the day of sentencing

GOOD LUCK ... that's all I can say.

I don't have any good advice. As always, I have bad advice. If it was me, I'd run. They're never see me again. And they know where they can stick their candle.

I know, I know--not a smart move, but my life is filled with less-than-smart moves.

Yeah, the candle charge would be extraditable. A fucking felony for a 2 dollar candle. I'd have been better off with a meth. lab. I don't have the $$ to leave the US.
I have too many tattoos and scars to go underground.

FYI: If you ever get popped, DON'T tell them about your tattoos, if you can keep from it.
You may need to run someday and you won't want any identifying marks.
