While my list could never match that of blahblahblah's, I thought I'd post a link to an Opiophile favorite:
http://www.heroinhelper.com/images/huhLg.jpg (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1559502169/opiophilecom-20?creative=327641&camp=14573&link_code=as1)
From the Heroin Helper site:
The book has detailed information on scoring, injecting, and detoxing--all with an emphasis on doing so safely. And when I say "detailed information", I mean it. The book is almost 60,000 words--two to three times as long as most drug "how to" books. For example, Opium For the Masses (hardly a wimpy book), is 30,000 words.
If you use heroin, you should own this book. I don't just say this because I wrote it. It contains everything I learned from years of doing and studying heroin. It can save your life. I think of it as the companion to the Heroin Helper website because since writing Heroin User's Handbook I have learned things, and this web site is where I put this information.
The Heroin User's Handbook has only eight chapters, but each chapter (with the exception of the last) is detailed. Ronin Publishing turned down the manuscript because the they felt that I had written a textbook on heroin use. That's true. Regardless of how long you have used heroin, you will learn a lot from this book.
