Another Kratom question

Hi,
Is there any way to get Kratom without having to order it online? I'm way up east in NY and I don't know if any herb stores would sell it. Maybe they can order it for ya, any one know?

The DEA microgram from a couple of months ago indicated that it might be being sold in "head shops"

Yeah, Duke's right. But for real, the herbal people could probably order it for you. Only thing is you're going to probably pay more for it than you would if you just ordered it for yourself from an online vendor. If it's a small mom and pop herb shop, they will just probably order some from an online vendor, and then mark it up before they sell it to you.

First, have you ever done it before? Alot of people go into it thinking that it is an opiate/opioid and that is not correct. It does have agonist properties but only at certain dosages. It is a mixed bag at best and even when it is a positive expereince it is akin to a mild codeine "high." If you have expereinced it, forgive my comments but i do think that inexperienced people should take the time to think about it.

I'm curious about this stuff - at what level of ingestion do the effects
switch from positive to negative? I've never done it before but am
considering obtaining some and don't want to be stoopid about it.

If one were to obtain an oz. of the regular kratom powder, how much
is just enough and how much is too much (despite the fact that my
signature mentions something about too much of everything being
just enough). :D

My tolerance to opioids/opiates is not that large, I consider about
40mg of hydro to be the amount to put me in the zone.

While I'd like to speak from personal experience, I can't, although I have read and heard reports of folks at lower tolerance being able to literally maintain on the stuff...

I am sure that many people would be very interested in kratom and its effects. but it is a mixed bag for sure. it has a low ceiling for me as far as dosage is concerned, I cant do too much or I get some dysphoric effects.
as far as maintenance, I can attest it works for me. I also take other herbs and a prescription painkiller occasionally also though, and use the kratom more as a "base of operation" so to speak. I have a greater sexual appetite in general when maintaining on kratom as compared to some opiates/opioids.

I will probably never touch heroin again, so things like kratom, or even milder types of opioids are a welcome addition in my opinion. I take a good amount of herbs in my diet, and am better off for it compared to my diet and lifestyle 15 years ago, maintaining on heavy opiates is just not something that I enjoy anymore, I try and sneak by with taking minimal amounts of the "hard" opiates and using moderate amounts of kratom and tramadol and other herbs. sometimes it isnt much fun. and kratom can be a physically demanding drug as far as redosing is concerned,...every 6 hours or so. There are physical withdrawl symptoms that can occur from habituation kratom.

in my opinion people who dont do opioids/opiates in general should probably stay away from the stuff due to the addiction potential, .............. people who are using street skag and other dangerous forms of illicit opiates may find that the stuff might at least provide a decent alternative as a pillow to land on in tough times.

opinions all, just my perceptions, the stuff is legal for now, what people do with it and how careful they are may play a part or not in its future legal status.

I have found that it is very good at staving off withdrawals. I've just started trying it this week and have had no sense of real opiate pleasure from it, nor have I experienced any dysphoria. I have only experienced mild itching and some hot flashes.

I'm with jacky, if you've never tried an opiate or are looking for a buzz this might not be the best way to find it

I will say the the reg strength material seems to be the best buy for the doses compared to weight. I am sure that the claims of stronger alkaloid content in the other "strengths" are correct, but have seen no chemical data that the active compounds are increased at the same rate as the alkaloid content on the whole, if I would guess I would say that the super kratom is only twice as effective.

I have seen people take kratom for the first time and get sick off of just 10 grams.

kratom definitely can pack a punch, weaken or abolish opiate withdrawl, potentiate an otherwise moderate opiate high, and support a person through daily maintenance. If I was going to take a substance daily, and have to pay for it, compared to methadone or bup I would choose kratom, no piss tests, the plant comes to your front door, etc.

people that are opiate niave may be caught offguard if taking kratom for extended amount of time, withdrawl from kratom can happen after just a few weeks of daily use. I recently went on bup for awhile,after taking kratom for a few months, I took my last kratom dose at 10pm. by 6 am in the morning I was going nuts, hadnt slept, couldnt get comfortable etc, after just 8 hours of not having any. I took 800 micrograms of buprenorphine and within the hour I was fine.

some people get a potent euphoria from taking kratom, some dont, that simple, its the same with other opioids and opiates. I have read that only 10% of the population actually feels euphoria from opiates, the rest really have no use for them as euphoriants. some side effects from taking too large a dose of kratom are: dizziness, nausea, limited feild of vision, dysphoria.

one herb that I have found is particularly good when mixed with kratom is cats claw herb. most joint pain that I experience is covered by this mixture.

Our best Kratom product to date is our Lyophilized Kratom Extract, this is a very clean extract which is very strong, I used to use up to 15 grams of our Super Powder and I only use 1 to 2 grams of the Lyo for more energy and 3 to 4 for a full on I have to laydown feeling. Lyophilized means freeze dried for those who don't know, this process basically removes all unwanted moisture thus you get more kratom.:) This fine powder can be mixed with many things to mask the taste, Milkshake, Peanut Butter, Honey, Chocolate Syrup and those worried about there weights yogurt :D
