if you guys are interested check out this website:

http://www.dea.gov/programs/forensicsci/microgram/mg0806/mg0806.html

it has a lot of interesting police seisures including fake pills, and what was found to be in them. for instance they found OC 80's that were fake, and were actually found to have 1.9 milligrams of fentanyl. stuff like that. i dont know i was just high and surfing the net and thought it was interesting.

Hi Jonny,

Posting a direct link to the prohibition enforcement thugs' site is a major faux pas here, since it leads the goons straight to these boards. In the future you can still show us such links, but do it in a way that doesn't create a direct hotlink. ( For example www.deXXXa.gov/ (http://www.deXXXa.gov/) ... )

I know you didn't do it on purpose. I've made the same mistake myself in the past.

Kind of related to this topic (because the article I'm talking about was referenced in the Feb or March ug...

In some areas, when you get your dope it's in a piece of plastic, usually torn from a plastic bag. Some are tied with knots and others are heat-sealed with a "home-style" method. Several forensic scientists have worked on improving fingerprint detection methods to try to pull prints off of the bags. This article was about a group (in Israel I think) that tried to detect DNA from the heat-seals.

They tested some random bags from the street as well as had a known person do the heat-sealing for a series of bags. They were able to pull DNA pretty easily from both groups. They were assuming that it came from epithelial cells left by the fingers during the sealing process, but really it also could have been inside the packager's or dealer's mouth (dried saliva).

The article if anyone is interested was from the March 2007 issue of either J. Forensic Sciences or J. For. Chem. (I'm 99% sure it was JFS though).
