Police: Three heroin supply rings busted (http://www.idahostatesman.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050120/NEWS01/501200354)Boise police say a multi-agency drug raid Wednesday shut down three heroin supply rings in the Treasure Valley responsible for selling about 73 pounds of the drug a year to local addicts.

Nine people were arrested Wednesday and charged with drug trafficking as officers raided eight homes in Boise and one in Nampa on Wednesday morning — the culmination of a four-month investigation by the Boise BANDIT and Ada County Metro drug task forces. A tenth person, described as a supplier to at least two of the drug rings, was arrested at an undisclosed location outside Idaho, police said.

i wonder how much of a chip that really took out of the local action?

Pretty a much a 100% dent for anyone I know. Aside from small pockets brought in privately from other cities. Users probably think of that as "Black Wednesday".

i'm not so sure about it being as large of a dent as they'd like to say it is. i see there's more to this post in another location, so I'm going to respond over there: http://forum.opiophile.org/showthread.php?t=109

It scares me that so little can have such a big impact. Of course, it seems that some new job opportunities have just opened for someone if that much was sold by these guys in a year.
