I have a few capsules (two halves which you can slide apart, and I assume there is some sort of powder inside). They are two centimeters long. One "half" is yellow, the other brown. Each half says "EUPHORIC" on it in small, black capital letters.
(Note: They are quite old, possibly 40 years old or more. I doubt that whatever's in them is still even active.)

As much as I'd love to pop the mystery pill...

Anyone have any idea what this is?

Pop a couple and see what happens, I'm sure the worst case senario is that you don't notice any effects at all. When most pills go bad they don't turn poisonous or anything, they just start to loose potency.

I'm pretty sure that is an oldskool amphetamine pill. Possibly Dex. It was prlly marketed as a diet pill given the age.

Maybe, but I doubt that a diet pill/amphetamine would say "euphoric" on it... and like jwalm says, whatever it is, it's not exactly a prescription drug...

Keep the ideas coming!

The way speed or diet pills used to be marketed in the back of girlie magazines and so forth back in those days, I wouldn't doubt if one of the brands said euphoric on it. I wouldn't necessarily consider these legitimate prescription-type marketing methods, nor reputable companies producing these. Everybody was selling speed as diet pills, pep pills, anti-depressants and so on, even up through the eighties without the need for a script.

I am amazed that you found 40 year old Euphoric pills in the first place..makes me wonder about all the old unused expiring meds out there.

Where did they come from? - you don't have to answer that, btw...

haha but in all seriousness, i wonder what the hell that pill was? Like said before, it definately couldn't have been marketed, had to have been a street/black market type of deal, right?

i'm still wondering what it is.

i have 5 more....

maybe i'll buy a drug test and test it? although if the chemical in it has become inactive, i guess it wouldn't show up.
the world may never know.
