So SWIM notieced a late model white van parked in front of SWIM's house today on the wrong side of the street. On any other day this wouldn't bother SWIM much but today SWIM is expecting a shipment of floral crafting supplies.
anyway the van left after about an hour of just sitting there. and then it came back. and left again. The postman hasn't been by SWIM's house yet.
I guess my question is, if the package arrives on SWIM's doorstep, should SWIM just leave it there until whenever SWIM feels that it's safe, or is SWIM already incriminated by having it shipped to SWIM's address and in his name?
thanks for any advice,
btw, SWIM lives in a small town in the midwestern U.S,

One would think that if one were under surveillance... this would be something done without one's knowledge. In other words, if the man were watching you... you likely wouldn't know it. I guess your question all depends on your order size, etc. I mean if you're waiting for CASES as opposed to a 50 count, you might have worries. Best bet, have some dried floral arrangements scattered about your home. That way.. who's to say that you're not an avid hobbyist? Furthermore... how are you to control what people slap your address on and send to you? I mean.. what a way to fuck people over. I think I'll send a kilo of black tar to the mofo bully that beat my ass in High School... SO LONG SUCKER:violent4:
Seriously, I doubt you've much to worry about. A common side effect of doing drugs is paranoia.

The previous post is probably the best answer. If you do not have a police record, there is not much more than a scary interrogation coming your way [if you are actually being watched]. NEVER, EVER incriminate yourself. If you do get questioned, NEVER admit culpability or even knowledge. Without those two admissions, there isn't going to be much of any consequence. Yes, they are illegal but their sale is a grey area as far as enforcement. If you live in a rural area you might have to shake it off but any defense attorney worth a damn could easily navigate a selective prosecution for ornamentalpoppies [even when they are Somniferum].

Yah man. Get an empty vase or something and make some floral arrangements with it so if they ever come in they'll find your using them for the purposes they are meant for. I don't know why big brother has to stick his nose into everything and prevent people from doing a little pill or drinking a little tea to give them some pleasure in their lives. This type of thing has only been illegal for like 100 years or less, so for thousands of years people were free to alter their conciousness. Hopefully people will realize that we have a right to analgesia and relaxation. These idiot redneck george bush wannabe's seem to think that no one needs to alter their conciousness to be happy, yet they all go home and drink alcohol and get wasted and they think thats different than taking a few pills every day. Fucking fascist cocksuckers. America isnt even a democracy. Whenever the president says something about protecting freedom i get so fucking mad. People, this isnt freedom and all of you know it so why the fuck am i ranting to you......
Fight for your rights and drive these old viagra popping christian fundamentalists out of power.

the only part of papaver somniferum that is not considered a controlled substance is the seed, the seed is specifically exempt from federal control. the seed is not to be sown and only supposed to be used for consumption, which is interesting given the sometimes rich alkaloid content the seeds may carry. still I have seen major seed companys that package poppy seeds for sowing purposes, even the historical society that runs ben franklins estate used to sell the poppy seeds from the poppys that have grown at the estate for a few hundred years...till the dea ripped them all out and put a stop to seed sales.
Jim hogshire has written some good articles about poppy pods and a few busts that have occured in the last few years.
In seattle washington poppy pods are sold at some open air flower markets, perhaps the safest place to buy them I imagine...
I think the risks are low for people ordering poppy pods in general, but remember they are illegal to posses, in any form except the seed, even if they are in a flower arrangement. The dea has made some small movements to eradicate the sales of these flowers, much as they tried to erradicate betel nut sales in the US at mainly white owned businesses, with poor tactics and generally not following up on their visits.
In my area of the country poppy pods grow in the wild still from the chinese immigrant miner camps leavings....sometimes I find a few in sites where people might pull up their pickup truck and sit on the tailgate eating a poppy seed muffin, a few months later a flower is born. the "perpetrator" generally unaware that they may committ a felony in due time by dropping a legal seed that later may germinating after the criminal is long gone...ha ha.
It is obvious that poppy pods are not a priority with customs, I wonder if these items carry a tariff tax? I wouldnt think so if they are illegal to posses, but if so there may be a loophole in at least the transport of the plant parts into the country.
I thought it was interesting that when the dea and fda forced JLF catalog to drop some items for sale and change their catalog that crushed poppy pods and san pedro were still items allowed to be sold, the poppy pods seem to be off the catalog most of the year, but occasionally I will see some crushed pods for sale.
I have seen some fresh pods, very large, and actually banged up and oozing latex in the front window of a mainstream type yuppie upscale flower shop once, there must have been 15-20 larger than a golfball, more like handball sized pods that were still green, I wondered where they got these fresh pods, most likely they were growen in the states or canada given their fresh nature....the oozing latex was too much for me, I had to get myself out of the window less I left an impression of my face on the glass.
