Alright well ive got a pretty good tolerance goin. Me and my girl both started up (me for the 2nd time) with 100mg morphines, now im up to IV'ing 2x 80mg oxycontins for a good buzz/nod.

My girl went to detox, and now shes in a rehab facility. I love her with all my heart but if we keep on goin at the rate we are, we'll never make it to what we aspire to be. I saw her for about 45 minutes in the limbo between detox and rehab and she looks good. Im still using but by the time she gets out in a couple weeks, i want to be clean just like her.

Ive heard in a couple threads about rapid detox with narcan. It just so happens a couple months ago at the needle exchange i got a couple bottles of it for "Just in Case" instances. Has anyone done rapid detox with narcan. I know the withdrawal is absolute hell the moment you pop it into your blood but i heard it only lasts roughly 36 hours. (im not totally dependant on oxy as it has a longer halflife than many other opiates. but ive been using any opiate i can get my hands on heroin, morphine, dilauded, etc)

Does using narcan actually make the detox last shorter. I also heard using a miniscule amount of narcan with a normal shot will potentiate effects and supposedly lower tolerance a lil bit. Has anyone tried this? I have a job and i dont think id be able to take the time off for normal detox. i feel if i can detox at my house or a hotel room within a couple days, i could keep my job and id be straight.

Can anyone shed some more light on the whole Naloxone for Rapid Detox?

I don't think narcan will work.It's for ods and it's not pleasant.When it wears off you're still going to be sick.

Try a rapid taper-subs might be best.

i would but i dont know how i could legitimately obtain it, and i think that once i taper down enough it will just prolong my sickness for a couple extra days, and i absolutely cannot function with out somethin in my system. ill lose my job if i end up having to go in sick, just cuz of that depressed melloncollie feeling of unhappiness combined with the horrible pains.

Anyone else want to add to the dialog?

I agree with Nick, go for the Methadone. Either maintenance(which in my opinion works better than a short detox) then onto a slow detox after things have settled down and you have been clean from other opiates for a good long time.

There are no quick fixes with opiate addiction. If you want to be clean when your girl comes out then I suggest getting on sub's or Methadone. Trying to look for a quick fix is only going to lead to frustration!

You should only consider 'done as a rapid detox and even then many other opiates would be better.I'd really think about subs.

The price of a rapid sub detox has gotta be cheaper than using.

There are no perfect fixes (no pun intended) for opiate addiction. You just have to choose the one that will work for you the best.

Given your age, maybe subs would be a good option for you to detox on, but they are expensive, as is the detox process (to see a sub doc and be detoxed requires lots of $$$)

But you said that you have no insurance, so maybe MMT or done detox is an option you have to consider.


And regarding Narcan for a rapid detox: Naloxone/Naltrexone is used for a rapid detox while the user is under general anesthesia. You DO NOT want to try and do it yourself.


Look into MMT or Subs.

Bro, this isnt anywhere near answering your question, dont even know why Im typin, but for sooooooooooooooo long Ive tried to kick. Cold Turkey the shit and be done. I had to do a Xanax run, that fucked me up to and im CTin from that. Fuck it. Youll live till 80. Whats a month right? Man I wish you the best of luck and fuck it if it doesnt work(Narcan) just try something else. If you want it youll get it

I always think about suffering peeps in Somalia, or people that went through the depression or WW1 or something horrible, and you and me and 99.9% of the members on this board know how horrendous WDs are. But think of what those mentioned above went through. Thats one thing that helped me. Also a couple members i owe my life to, no shit if it were not for them, never woulda made it.
